Never once did it occur to me I would be passed around to a rich, conniving, privileged of a man to marry. Through all the fights, little arguments and just struggling to understand each other. We managed to learn to love each other, even if the world seemed to be against us. Easton an intricate playboy, CEO of his fathers chain of modeling agencies. He just ended up to be my world.

My heels echoed through my fathers office building, after him stepping down due to a publicity meltdown, I was left to step up and pick up his mess of a job. Leaving me to run the company at 23. "Eliza your father just called for you to schedule a meeting with you at his home office." I reach to pull down my glass frames to get a better look at my assistant Amarisa. "Did he ever say what for? Or is this one of his 'I need help again' deals". She brushed her bangs out of her face and her cheeks flushed. "He didn't say, he said it was urgent and important for the family." Rolling back in my office chair I open my filing cabinet and place a clients contact list. "Thank you Amarisa tell him I confirmed it and will clear my schedule to meet with him in a couple hours. Thank you."

I leave work 3 hours later and open the door to my Tesla, starting it I press my forehead against the wheel. Taking a moment for myself, telling myself to stay calm through fathers meeting. They never did go really well. Always ended in fights or silence. After driving I pull up to one of my fathers 3 mansions. Readying myself for what this could be about.

"Father im here what did you need to speak to me about?" I step in the office taking off my black blazer and unpinning my sleek hair from its strict bun. I toss the jacket beside me on the couch and have a seat. As I look around the room, I notice someone. Who could have missed his piercing blue eyes, messy yet still perfect hair, his jaw was chisled. You could see he was built under his tight suit jacket. He was watching me, trying to understand me, as I was doing the same. He unfolds his arms and heads my way. He takes my hand as he stands me up. "Hello Eliza, im your new fiance Easton. Easton Hawes." The smirk and gleam in his eyes set me off. "What the hell do you mean fiance. What is going on!" Quickly I snatch my hand back and storm off to find my father.

Attempting to run up the marble staircase, trying not to slip. I finally reach my fathers room and come to realize hes not home. Slamming the door shut I run down the stairs to confronting Easton . "Back so soon babe?" I slam my hand down on the desk, not realizing  how bad my hand was hurting. "You have no right to call me babe. And there sure as hell won't be a wedding going on between us and that's a promise." I turn on my heels quickly but my heels get caught together and I fall, except, I never hit the ground. I feel an arm around my stomach keeping me up.

As I turn I get a close glimpse of his features. He had recently shaved, for he had slight stubble on his chin and jaw. His eyes were interesting. Lonely but a feel of need. They glistened again the sunset through the window. He was focusing on me again. Trying to understand why I haven't yelled yet. To be quite honest. I was confused with that also. I snap out of my thoughts and get up brushing my dress off. "I assure you can see yourself out Mr. Hawes." He reaches for his briefcase and winks on his way out. Just as I hear the office door close I close my eyes and put my head in my hands. How could this be happening and is this in all seriousness?

I hear a car door shut and then the front door. Fathers home and I'm ready to explode. I smooth out my dress and cross my legs. Preparing to have a civil and professional conversation. I hear voices, as in more than one. Mr. Hawes has come back. They get closer as they approach the door. "I do hope my dear Eliza hasn't given you and problems or was hostile towards you, I'm sure it was quite a bit of a nasty shock to her."

As they open the door I'm certain to not look at them, instead I stare at the many books in my fathers bookcase. Not giving them the satisfaction of my curiosity. "Eliza." I wince, the sense of importance in my fathers voice is echoing. "Yes?"

"It's come to my attention you have already met Mr. Hawes my dear?" I start playing with the diamonds on my bracelet and nod at him. Easton spoke up, "Possibly me and Eliza should go out one night as a way to get to know each other Mr. Parks." Standing up I go to face the two men who have decided to scheme against my life. "I can assure you that is a bloody awful idea. As I will not be marrying this man!"

"Eliza this is your right to marry him! This company needs to be lifted up by money and he's the man for the job. If you even think once about complaining again, you can kiss your position at the company goodbye and all of your assets!" I gawk at him in disbelief. My company that I raised from the ashes is doing perfectly well. Knowing I can't survive without my position. I accept this fate in silence. I've always dreamed of my wedding day. But not like this, and not with him.
