In America basically every school looks the same. By the walls there are lockers and in the hallways there's hundreds of children. But this school is very different nowadays because 11 months ago my best friend died. He was amazing in every way and everyone thought so. I'm now pretty much alone. Though that's okay, you know, you get used to it; the whole no one looks at you in school deal, although everybody looked at me in the beginning. Honestly I've noticed it's easier when you're alone. Little did I know I wouldn't be as alone for much longer.

The bells rang out signalling that the long awaited summer break had at last reached us. Everywhere kids were rushing to their lockers some for the very last time the rest was to be returning. Personally I had one year left of high school. Ever since we were kids Matt and I had made plans for our graduation. How we were gonna celebrate by throwing a huge cake party. Now that dream would involve a little more me and a lot less him.

I was stolen out of thought as I heard my phone go off with a text inside my bag. I picked it up and read the number as it wasn't in my contacts. 936-82.. wait... it went through my head, the phone dropped, I could hear it crack and everyone around me stopped and stared. Slowly I kneeled down and picked my phone up.
b-but it cant be. He can't be. 936-828-0001 that's his number.

Riverside Bank, 6pm. come alone

I didn't know if it could be true. I didn't know if it was him. All I knew was that at 6 pm may 15th 2018 I would be at the Riverside Bank meeting whoever sent that text.
