Dear John,

Long were the nights when my days once revolved around you
Counting my footsteps,
Praying the floor won't fall through, again
My mother accused me of losing my mind,
But I swore I was fine,

Kenzie sits down her bed looking at Johnny and her's photos.

Oh John. She thinks.

She misses him. Misses him so bad.

It's been 6 months since they last talk. Before those 6 months, they were together. They were the happiest. The power couple of Instagram. At least that's what she thought.

"Kenzie," her mom comes in her bedroom and sits down on her bed, "forget him."

"I'm sorry, mom." she says, "it's so hard."

"I know honey, but you'll get over him." her mom kisses her forehead and leaves her room.

She sighs and lies down her bed.

You paint me a blue sky
And go back and turn it to rain

Her phone dings. She receives a notification. It's from a Jenzie fan account. She watches the edit and turns off her phone. She sobs.

She misses him. So bad.

"Why?" she says between sobs.

Six months ago, at the course of their relationship, she was happy. She smiles, and laughs like there's nothing wrong. She was the best version of her self. Everything was perfect. They were happy. So she didn't see the catastrophe coming.

He was cheating on her. With her best friend Nadia. She knew nothing at first, but it was all over Instagram. He ended everything with one message, i'm sorry it's over.

She left him, she was devastated. She cried herself to sleep for 2 months. She didn't eat. She became anorexic, depressed. Her whole family and her best friends always visit her. She always push them away. After a few weeks, they finally see her slowly recovering. But she knows she's still broken. Nadia and Johnny are still together to this day.

And I lived in your chess game,
But you changed the rules every day
Wondering which version of you I might get on the phone
Tonight, well I stopped picking up, and this song is to let you know why

Suddenly, her phone dings. It's a message from Johnny.

She wipes her tears and opened the message.

Hi. She received.

Hello. She was skeptical, but she still replied.

Kenzie, i'm sorry. He texts.

The text confused Kenzie. Why would he say sorry after a few months?

It's okay. She replies even though she's hurt.

Dear John, I see it all now that you're gone

Don't you think I was too young to be messed with? The girl in the dress, cried the whole way home, I should've known
