Karaoke Night

"NO! STOP IT! YOU SON OF A BARREL! STO-" Felix was interrupted by the sound of a knock on his door. He slid off his head phones and headed towards the door. He opened the door a crack to see outside his room. No one there. He stepped outside of the stuffy room and slowly checked for anyone. At first he did not see anyone, but as he turned his head to the left, he screamed as a black figure came reaching towards him. The thing had holes for eyes and a thin devious grin across its face. It looked so strange, it's face frozen into that one look. Almost mask like, Felix thought.

Wait.

Mask like?

"Marzia! You almost gave me a heart attack!" the swede said, now realizing it was just his girlfriend. "Hahaha!" Marzia laughed. "I got you!" She said taking off the hideous mask and revealing her face. She was beautiful no doubt. Her long brown hair with light highlights at the ends really made her eyes shine. She had gotten Felix's reaction on camera, soon to be posted on YouTube for all her Marzipans to see.

Felix sat on his chair and dug his face into his hands. He mumbled something to quiet for Marzia to hear. "What did you say, Felix?" Marzia inquired, still giggling over what had happened moments ago. His face still in his hands, he mumbled again, louder. Marzia place her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow. Felix looked up and said, " I said," He stood up. "SHE'LL NEVER SEE THIS COMING!" he screamed, picking her up, throwing her on her bed, and tickling her until she could barely breath. "Felix!" She laughed, tearing up.

They were going on a date to a karaoke place down the block from his house. Felix was dressed fancier than usual, and Marzia questioned it. His answer was,"Why can't I just be the most fabulous person there? Don't question me, woman!". But since Marzia always dressed nice, questioning her outfit would be pointless.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen!" Felix announced as soon as he and Marzia entered the karaoke place. Marzia looked at her boyfriend confused, like she normally did. "Hand me the mic!" the swede said, extending his hand for the microphone. "Felix," Marzia said, tugging on the sleeve of his suit. "What are you doing? We just got here," she whispered.

"I would like to dedicate this song to my beautiful, loving girlfriend, Marzia."

"Felix?" She began.

He took his finger and pressed it gently against her lips.

"Just listen," he said as "All of me" by John Legend began to play.

"What would I do without your smart mouth, drawing me in and you kicking me out," the swede sang.

" You got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down."

As Felix continued singing, girls around the the karaoke place started swooning over how adorable this moment was.

Marzia was completely caught of guard from the beginning. She expected a night of singing fun and silly songs, not this. Not that she didn't like it. She was just confused. He never does this sort of thing, she thought. Why now?

"Your my end and my beginning. Even when I lose I'm winning. Cause I give you all of me. And you give me all of you."

The tall swede knelt down on one knee in front of Marzia.

"I give you all of me. And you give me all of you. Oh oh."

He took a small black box out of his back pocket. Only then did Marzia realize what was going on.

"Marzia," he said, his eyes full of hope.

" Will you marry me?"

Marzia stared at Felix, her hands over her mouth.

There was a long silence.

"Felix?" Marzia said after she found her voice.

He looked up at her eyes, full of tears. She opened her mouth to say something that would change both of there worlds forever.

"Yes."
