One smile, that's all it took
I never expected myself to fall this hard, your glance melted my heart in an instant and your cold stares froze it back together again. This was the first time I saw you here in campus.
"freshman", I said in my head while staring at her. I was caught unaware when she suddenly turned her head towards me and smile. Slowly getting closer, I can see that she is going to ask for help.
"Umm... do you know where the AV Building is? I've been walking in circles and I have no idea where it is!",She said with a big smile on her face.
There it is again, that deep soulful smile that makes me weak in the knees. I hesitated for a while, wondering what to say. But she continued to stare at me and I felt weaker.
"Uh.... it's um..", I muttered and stuttered like a fool
"If you do not know then it is okay." her voice filled with sorrow made me feel bad.
"I can accompany you there. My building is also located near.", I said with a big grin on my face. Seeing her eyes shine made me happy that she approached me. I know it's too petty for me to smile about but I can't help it. We walked all the way to the A.V. Building and before I know it, she had already left to her classroom.
"Dude, have you seen the new girl next door? The one with long golden hair and big ackward eyes?", I asked Jon, my friend, hoping that he knows
"Ohhh, I know her. Apparently, people call her Nuts at her old school." he said as a matter of factly
"Rumors around school say that she is bonkers,nuts! she may be pretty , but I wouldn't go near her if I were you. I might go crazy because of her ." Jon said, with a mixture disgust and arrogance.
" wipe that smug smile off your face man ! she's not half bad.", i answered back, raising my voice by a little bit.
"Speaking of the devil!"
Student flooded the corridor, rushing to go their next class and among the crowd there she stood
Her eyes moving left to right, as if she was looking for something and then it come. Our eyes met and her lips pursed upward. It was as if time stopped as I saw her footstep approaching me. Adrenaline rushed over me as I suddenly lost all rational thoughts in my head. On shit, Im falling... hard.
"Hey there!"
"Umm... hi!" Well that sounded dumb
"do you have anymore classes? I need help buying books for class but I'm still not familiar with the area." her eyes filled with happiness as her voice pleaded to me. I can't say no to that and so I ended up nodding my head. Euphoria rushed through me as I was excited to see her.
My friend faked a cough and nudged my chest,"Uhhh, I'll go off already. Enjoy your day!" Then we were both left alone.It was not ackward, we don't know why but I felt comfortable. As if this had already happened before.
we left the campus as we strolled towards the hear by mall. Her hand wrapped around mine as we walked in the exact same pace. I wanted this to happen, but it was all too fast considering we have only met just this morning.
Did I really only met her now?
I turned my head and looked at the mysterious girl beside me. She really looks pretty beside me but the feeling that she is only in my head lingers.
I shrug of this feeling and decided to keep walking with her to the bookstore. People were walking beside us but they all seem to be staring at the both of us.
