Prologue: Hom-dai

Third Person's POV

"Thebes. City of the Living. Crown jewel of Pharaoh Seti the First" Narrator says. "Home of Imhotep, High Priest of Osiris, Keeper of the Dead. And Sha'uri the High Priestess of Isis, protector of the pharaohs. Birthplace of Anck-su-namun. Pharaoh's Mistress. No other man was allowed to touch her" the narrator explains.

Sha'uri relaxes in her chambers as the medjai inform in of how the Pharaoh is. As high priestess to Isis the goddess of protection. She has control of the Medjai who protect the Pharaoh. Suddenly she has a vision of the pharaoh in danger.

"Go the Anck-su-namun's room quickly, our Pharaoh is in danger" she orders the guards in ancient Egyptian. Meanwhile the Pharaoh entered Anck-su-namun's room. To discover Imhotep's priests there.

"What are you doing here?" he demanded. None of them answered him. The Pharaoh strides for the curtains. Throws them back to see Anck-su-namun leaning against a statue alone. She gives him a sexy innocent smile. But he notices the smeared paint on her shoulder. "How has touched you?" he demands she looks at it shocked.

Before looking at the person behind him and he turns to see his High Priest. "Imhotep? .... My priest" he says shocked. But he was even more surprised when Anck-su-namun stabs him in the back.

Just then the Medjai arrive outside the room and try to knock the doors down. "You must go. Save yourself. Only you can resurrect me" Anck-su-namun tells him. He's priest drag him away through a secret temple. As the medjai enter the room to see Anck-su-namun standing over the dead Pharaoh's body. "My body is no longer his temple!" she shouts and plunges her knife into her heart.

Meanwhile Imhotep has gone to his sister's room . "Imhotep, what is wrong?" she asks seeing his look of despair.

"Anck-su-namun is dead along with the Pharaoh" he tells her.

"Oh no, they did not get there in time" she says covering her mouth. "Anck-su-namun has murdered our pharaoh and must be cursed. I know you were fond of her. But as the high priest of Osiris you must perform it" she tells him.

"I will, be safe little sister. Know that no matter what happens, I love you" he tells her. Holding her close.

"I know and I love you big brother" she states. Then hands him the golden Book of Ra and key. The Book of The Living contained sacred incantations that would send the evil dead on a journey into the dark underworld."She no doubt being mummified as we speak, you must go now to curse her" she tells him. Imhotep bowed his head to her and left the room.

After Imhotep read from the book Anck-su-namun was placed into a sarcophagus. But before she could be buried. Imhotep and his priest stole her body. They rode across the dessert to Hamunaptra, the City of the Dead. Where he steals the book of the dead.

Meanwhile Sha'uri sent the guards after him she heard about him stealing Anck-su-namun's body. She hates that she has to do to this to her own brother. But he brought this onto himself. Her first duty is to the gods. Then the Pharaoh and lastly her brother.

The guards stopped Imhotep before he could complete the ritual. He was brought before his sister and Princess Nefertiri. "I have been told what you have done and heard from the gods through Sha'uri. Your priests are to mummified alive. While you will face the Hom-dai for being with my father's mistress, helping her murder him, stealing the book of the dead and then trying to bring her back to life" she decreed. "Sha'uri you shall watch it be done" she adds.

"Yes, your highness" Sha'uri says keeping her emotions in check. But truly she is hear broken about her brother's fate. However, she'd never defy the gods as he did.

Now Sha'uri stood before Imhotep and his priests in the preparation chamber. She looked at his priests being mummified before looking at him. Who is forced to his knees by four guards. His arms are held back as his mouth is pried open. He's tongue is removed before he is wrapped in the bandages.

He was placed in a sarcophagus alive, that had the ancient spells of protection chiseled off. He was covered in scarab beetles before the sarcophagus is closed. Sha'uri closed her eyes trying to block out his screams of agony. He sarcophagus was then placed into another box. Which she locked with the key before he was buried at the base of Anubis.

"He was to remain sealed inside his sarcophagus the undead for all of eternity. The Medjai were ordered to watch over him by Sha'uri. They would never allow him to be released... for he would arise a walking disease, a plague upon mankind... an unholy flesh eater with the strength of ages... power over the sands... and the glory of invincibility. For 3,000 years, men and armies fought over this land... never knowing what evil lay beneath it.And for 3,000 years...we, the Magi, the descendants of Pharaoh's sacred bodyguards, kept watch" the narrator explains.
