I continued to pull Dinah by her hand until we arrived at my tinted black G Wagon. I unlocked the car as we approached it and opened the passenger side door for her. She looked weary of getting in but one slight smile from me had her climbing into the expensive truck. I hurriedly walked over to the driver side and climbed in before she could have any second thoughts.

I turned the radio on low just in case Dinah wanted to have a conversation. 'Where are we going' she asked in a soft tone with her doe like eyes locked on me that had me swooning as I looked at them from the corner of my eye. It was becoming increasingly harder to keep my eyes on the road ahead.

'It's a surprise' I winked at her which immediately resulted in her cheeks reddening as she looked out the window. I turned back to the road and began to hum softly to the song on the radio. I recognized it as a song by my dear friend Justine Skye.

'Can I hear you s-sing?' She asked catching me completely off guard.

'Like you wanna hear one of my songs?'

'No I want you to sing for me right now' she clarified. I don't know why but singing in front of her terrified me which I wasn't quite sure why. I had sung in front of Michelle and Barack Obama but here I was being afraid to sing in front of this girl I just met.

'How about I sing for you next time' I bargained. She quickly nodded and turned back to looking out the window not even putting up a fight. I could tell that she was shy and that she had whipped up a lot of courage to ask me to sing for her. Worried that I had ruined the night I quickly connected my phone to the aux and turned the radio up. I began to belch out to call me maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen playfully. I swung my hair and began to drum on the steering wheel.

Dinah looked over at me a hint of a smile grazing her lips as I continued to dance and sing wildly in my seat. When we would pull up to a red light I would begin to sing directly to her at she giggled uncontrollably at my silliness. I poked and prodded her with my finger trying to coax her into dancing with me as the song changed to T.G.I.F. by Katy Perry.

She avoided my advances for a while before she began to swing her hair as well and danced in her seat. It was obvious she didn't know the song but she still danced to it with me. Halfway through the song instead of dancing I simply just enjoyed watching her with a 100 watt smile on my face while I attempted to keep my eyes on the road.

As the song ended she began to retreat back into her shell as she sunk back into her seat. I enjoyed watching her come out of her shell and I wanted to coax her out of it again. The rest of the ride was filled with stolen glances as a small smile rested on both of our lips.

We finally arrived at a place I haven't visited in a little over two years even though I lived no further than 40 minutes away from it. I looked over at Dinah to see her eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store as she looked out the window at the ice cream shop across from us.

'Are we going there' she asked eagerly.

'Yeah come on' I said unlocking the door on my side but keeping Dinah's locked. After closing my door back I quickly walked over to the passenger side of the car and unlocked it with my key fob. I opened the door so Dinah could exit. She muttered a quick thanks as we walked into the ice cream parlor. As soon as we walked towards the register Dinah's eyes widened at all the ice cream possibilities. I laughed slightly at her stunned face.

'Hallo welcome to Sunny's Ice Cream Parlor how may I be a service' the chipper adolescent greeted.

'Hi can we have a minute to look over the menu' I replied since Dinah was too into looking at all the options to reply.
