3rd FALLEN

I gaped at the sky and smiled when I saw those flock of birds flying. I always wanted to fly but I know to myself that I can't do that and I will not experience that ever. Asa pa ko. Ang mga pangarap ko din sa buhay ay kakaiba. Sana ang mga pinapangarap ko na lang ay mga bagay na alam kong kaya ng isang tao.

I put my left hand at my side then I felt the electrifying energy so I put away my hand. Just a second touch on his hand, and I was nervous. Hanggang ngayon, hindi pa din ako sanay sa mga hawak niya sa akin.

Kumunot ang noo niya at bigla siyang nagsorry dahil sa nagawa niya. Stupid of me.

"No. I'm sorry for that." Mahina kong sabi habang nakayuko ang aking ulo.

He didn't utter anything and was silent for how many minutes. I was going to break the silence since I can't take anymore of it when he laid a hand on me intentionally. Parang gusto kong kiligin.

"May sasabihin ako sa 'yo. Importante."

"Does it really need to touch my hand?"

He smiled at me and I felt my heart is going to jump any minute for the reason that of my uneasiness. For Pete's sake, he was stroking my hand devotedly.

"I need to do this please?"

Wala akong nagawa since gusto ko rin ang kakaibang feeling na hinahawakan niya ang kamay ko at parang minamassage. Oh God. Who am I not to concur?

"So ano ba talaga 'yung gusto mong sabihin? Medyo nagwoworry na kasi ako."

Huminga siya nang malalim at tumingin sa langit. Maganda ang klima dito sa labas. Tahimik. Iyon nga lang, naririnig ko nang malakas ang kabog ng puso ko. Malakas na malakas. Parang any minute ay lalabas na siya.

"I'm falling for you."

"Y-you what?!"

"Oh, God. I put all my confidence para sabihin ko lang 'yun at gusto mo sa akin ipaulit?"

Nanlalaki ang mga mata niya sa akin habang mas kumabog ang dibdib ko.

"Just say it once more. Please?"

Sa pagkakarinig ko kasi parang nabingi lang ako or nagkamali lang ako ng dinig sa sinabi niya. Tama, 'di ba? Mali ang narinig ko. Mali.

He took a deep breath then look straight into my eyes and I didn't look away. I want to know if he is truly sincere.

"I love you, since the first time that I saw you. I know we just met a month ago pero para sa akin I could feel that I already know you since then. Every time I glimpse on you, you make my heartbeats fast, very fast. Just a stare from you, you make my body panic. Just a voice from you, you make my ears listen to you eternally. And just a smile from you, you make me alive and continue to smile endlessly. I really love you."

I couldn't yet absorbed what he confessed to me. I just couldn't. Perhaps, that's what I'm feeling before and right now. We have the same behavior. And our feeling is mutual. Mahal na mahal talaga ko ni Garrett. Hindi ko lang ito basta imagination! Totoo ito!

"Summer, do you like me?"

I saw the sincerity on his eyes thus; I nodded since I don't lie ever since. At ang mga sinabi niya ang nagbigay sa akin ng kasiyahan.

"So, do you take me as your lawful boyfriend?"

Wala na kong choice. Walang—wala na dahil nasa kaniya na ang puso ko.
