I sit up... The blood dripping from my chin lands on my embroided pearl white sheets, the eggshell silk lining my covers we're now a shade of scarlet, it rolls down my neck and down my chest staining my pajamas...
I hear other people screaming but I can't hear them over the sounds of my shoulder blades crunching and cracking from my bones snapping in half, my back feels like it has been lit on fire.
Are my arms broken? Why are my gums throbbing? Why is there so much blood?
All my senses hazy from the excruciating pain I hear ringing in my ears, everyone is screaming and panicking, trying to stop the blood pouring out my mouth, flowing onto my now soaking sheets.
Uncle Axel touches my back, he cringes... His eyes are red and tears are pouring down his face... Is my back bleeding?
Unaware of everything and everyone I look into the mirror adjacent to my bed and there they were... My wings
They were colossal, much bigger than Aunt Lulu's, they were the most beautiful shade of alabaster I've ever seen before, flecks of gold peppered over them, the light of my lamp illuminated the tawny outline of my majestic wings fit for angel. My wings were almost wider than my room its self, why didn't I notice the huge shadow they cast over my body?
I reached my hand up to my mouth to feel what was causing me so much pain when I suddenly felt razor sharp fangs pierce the tip of my finger. I guess my fangs came in as well.
The bleeding had subsided, I was so relieved but I was quickly taken back by the looks of terror on everyone's face... They look devastated.
Everyone's eyes were a shade of crimson... They were all hysterically crying, I could imagine why. Blood covered every inch of my room, what was once flowing through my veins were now splattered over my walls, my face and back was covered in it as well, what a gruesome scene... All they could do is stare, no one has ever seen a vampire and fairy evolve before, so I understand their fright, and oddly enough all I could think about was Valoria... But blood must spill.
