To my knowledge, Kira has never experienced anything like this before. Kira slowly walked up the stairs after her fortieth argument with her parents and that was also the thirtieth time her sister had to run to her room and cover her ears. Kira slowly walked in her room and closed her door and locked it. "How many times am I going to have to go through these things," Kira thought. Kira was sick and tired of having to fight with her parents all the time. Kira's parents are very strict with her. In addition to this, she also deals with so much stress everyday from school, her part-time job, and so much more. All she wanted was for somebody to be there for her, but her parents just wouldn't corraperate.
Kira started to walk around in circles in her room. Each step felt heavier like two blocks of solid concrete dragging her down. It was getting harder for her to breathe like she couldn't come back for air after she jumped in the water. Yes and no's, no's and yes started to fill up her head. The confusion grew into why she felt this way. Kira's heart is bounding and bounding out of her chest. All because of this one devastating question she asked herself, "Should I just end it? Should I just kill myself?" she thought. In the moment, her heart dropped in despair.
There were no soul in Kira's eyes. They were like deep dark blue pools, thicken enough for someone to drown in. Kira took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. She remained calm, but her soulless look on her face was still there, frozen in time. Kira unlocked her door and walked slowly to the bathroom on her right, next to her room. While Kira was walking into the bathroom, her sister came out of her room, once the fight with her parents had stopped, she stared at Kira's eyes with a worried look on her face. Kira grabbed what she needed out of the bathroom cabinet and headed back to her room. "Are you alright?" Kira's sister asked. Kira looked at her sister with no response and continued back to her room. Kira was so miserable that she couldn't even fake a smile for her little sister to not worry about her.
Kira relocked her door and fell against her bed next to the door. Her mind runs blank as she opens her hands with the bottles of pills inside each of them. She closed her hands and asked herself, "Is it really worth it? Will it all be over, if I do this?" She laid the pills down next to her on the floor. Kira grips her blue jean pants as the decision grew harder to make. She puts one hand on her wavy yellow shirt, listening to her heart beating faster and faster. Kira finally grabbed the pill bottles and puts one in her hand from each of them. Kira stares at the six pills in her hand. She slowly lifts up her hand, closer to her mouth. She threw them in her mouth and swallowed the pills. Tears ran down her cheeks as she felt each pill go down her throat, one by one. There she lays, calmly laying beside her bed. In that moment, there was silence, pure silence that no one in this house has ever heard of. Kira's eyes felt heavy as her heart beated slower and slower. Her breath began to fade away as she gracefully closed her eyes.
A few moments later, Kira's sister started to worry. She called her parents to come and check on Kira. The mother and father ran up the stairs and the father tried opening the door, but it was locked. The father started to bang on the door after hearing no sign of moveness. "Open the door, Kira. What are you doing in there?" He asked. No answer. "Stand back, I'm going to break the door open," he said, preparing himself. He slammed his body into the door and it didn't open. He tried again and it still wouldn't open, he tried one more time and the door burst open. The father walked in and covered his mouth and looked away in disappointment. The mother walked in and broke into tears. "No, no, no, no. Not my baby girl," the mother said as she walked up to her daughter's corpse. "No, please don't go. I know I wasn't a good parent to you. I just wanted what's best for you. Please, ... don't leave us," the mother said as she sat down and picked up her daughter. Kira's little sister was standing next to the entrance of Kira's room and had already knew what happened when her mother scream. She didn't dare go into that room, it was too much for her. She just sat there and cried with her hands covering her eyes. The mother took a final look at kira and saw the tears still wet on her face.
