Simon had been thinking and he wanted joint custody of Lilly. She was his daughter and he wanted to be able to have her when he wanted.

When morning came, Simon went downstairs to Charley. Charley smiled. "Morning."

"I want to talk," Simon said. He saw the look on Charley's face and sighed. "I want to go for joint custody of Lilly."

Charley was shocked. She looked at him. "That's insane. She's happy where she is."

Grace had just taken Lilly into the day care centre. She made her way to the school. Max was waiting for her. "Hey. Was she okay?" He asked.

Grace nodded. "Yeah. She was fine. She decided she didn't want to say goodbye to anyone and just go off playing," she said.

Max laughed and took her inside. He had gotten Grace a job as his PA. He was allowing her to leave early too in order to pick up Lilly from day care.

Charley was fuming with Simon. She couldn't believe he wanted custody of Lilly. Albeit joint custody but even she knew that going between two homes would be confusing for the little girl.

Simon walked into the staffroom. He took her hand. "Don't be mad at me. She's my daughter and I want to get to know her. She probably doesn't even know I'm her father."

Charley rolled her eyes. "Joint custody though? It's a tad extreme isn't it? It's ridiculous."

Grace was missing Lilly. She couldn't stop thinking about her. She wanted to see her already. Max came out and stood by her. "Are you missing her?" He asked.

Grace nodded and looked at him. "I've just checked on her via that app and it said she's sleeping right now," she said. She looked at him. "I don't like the idea of someone else picking her up," she mumbled.

Max smiled. "It will be fine. She's a tough little cookie."

Charley needed to tell Grace about what Simon was planning. She walked into the office and saw her. The two of them had become quite close.

Grace smiled. "Hey. Everything okay?"

"It's Simon. He's planning on going for joint custody of Lilly. I needed to tell you," Charley said. She saw the look on Grace's face. "I had no idea until he told me this morning."

Grace nodded and sighed. "Okay. I'll sort it. Thanks Charley. It means a lot," she told her.

Grace was fuming. She didn't know why Simon wanted joint custody of Lilly. She stormed into his classroom. "Listen, you do not have the right to attempt joint custody. You walked out of her life before she was even born so do not think you've got any right to her," she spat.

"She's my daughter Grace. I do have rights to her."

"You can see her. But you are not having joint custody. Over my dead body that's happening," she said.

Simon sighed. He knew Charley would have told her. But how did he go about getting his daughter? Especially when it was revealed he was going for full custody?
