Nia's P.O.V

Darkness. That's all I saw while feeling the enclosed space I was in. It's been like this for a while, but I never complained, knowing that father will come back. Once again, I stared up at the dark door that kept me inside the receptacle, placing my hand gently on the cool iron.

As I was napping, I felt movement and noises outside of the casket I was in. My eyes wandered to the opening of the casket to see it gently open.

Bright light peered into the once dark receptacle. I squinted my eyes, covering my face with my hands out of instinct. Color had burst into my vision when I gazed at the surrounding environment outside the casket.

I sat up abruptly and scanned around me, my eyes catching something blue. I gazed over the weird creature. It's eyes had widened as it scanned over me as well. I noticed, I assumed, a pair of goggles on it's head and a blue cloth draped over him also having holes for his arms. My eyes wandered over to a golden sphere-cone shape. It had twirled characteristics and then was topped with a point at the end.

I tilted my head to the side, realizing the weird tinted redness displayed on his cheeks as he gazed upon me.

Nia: What are you? Where am I? Where's father?

Simon: U-Uh umm well- a-ah!

To get a better look, I had examined his face up closely to take in his unique details. I placed my hands on his cheeks, feeling a weird warmth.

Simon: U-Uh! Umm I-I'm h-human like you!

Nia: But, you look different.

Simon: Well y-yea, all humans look different...

Nia: Why is your flesh so soft? And where am I?

I felt his face grow warmer as he carefully tugged my hands away.

Simon: W-Well that's a h-human feature and we're kind of in a canyon.

I scanned my surroundings a bit more, noticing more receptacles and lots of jagged rocks.

Nia: Where's fath-

A screeching sound echoed throughout the place we were in. I glanced over to the blue haired human and noticed his worried expression. He carefully took my hand and led me over to a very complicated looking piece of machine.

Simon: Come on, come on!

He fiddled with his golden necklace, pushing and twisting it into the weird looking machine.

Simon: Lagann! Work!

I swiftly twirled around to see a very strange looking machine running towards us. I tapped the human's shoulder to notify him about the machine. He instinctively turned to me as I pointed to the strange thing as it kept getting closer and closer.

Simon: The Beastman is too close, we got to run!

He quickly grabbed my hand again and started to run. It's been a while since I even stood up, so I started to trip and almost fall. He gave me a worried expression as I once again almost fell on top of him. His cheeks became red again (maybe he had a sunburn) as he gently picked me up in a bridal hold and continued to run.

I instinctively wrapped my arms around his neck to prevent me from falling out of his arms. I tucked my head in his shoulder out of comfort. Though when I finally looked up ahead of me, a dead end was shown and lasers were being blasted towards us.

He turned us around to face the huge machine or the so called 'Beastman'. I felt the human's grip get tighter as he held me close, looking worried. He began to shake.

Simon: I will not let another person die because of me!

I turned to him confused. Why did he mean? As the Beastman pointed the resource of the lasers towards us, I closed my eyes waiting for the end. Then I heard it.

???: Stupid Simon! Stop getting yourself into trouble like this! I can't save you all the time!

My eyes swiftly opened to see another human with very long pinkish-reddish hair in a ponytail. Her clothes were very revealing, but I was staring at the thing in her hand. It was, I think it's called a gun. She shot the Beastman which made it fall backwards and land with a crash. She looked over to the human that held me.

???: Who's that? Never mind, just hurry up and get on Kittan's mecha with her!

Nia: What's a mecha?

Simon: Not now. Thanks Yoko!

He raced towards another similar robot that looked like a yellowish color. I rapidly held him back realizing that the beastmen were the bad guys. And he looked like a bad guy.

Simon: He's a good guy! We have similar robots, but he's on our side.

I nodded, understanding and letting him lead me into the robot.

???: Hey kiddo, why we leaving so soon?

Simon: Just hurry up and go, Kittan! No time for jokes.

Kittan: Y'know Kamina would joke around too.

I looked up to the boy still holding me in his arms. He had a blank face though his eyes showed emotion. A sadness.

Kittan: Sorry...

Simon: It's fine...what about Lagann? We need to get it.

Kittan: Already on it. And...

He motioned towards me while a smirk was present plastered on his face.

Kittan: ...is this your girlfriend~?

I glanced up at the blue haired boy as his face became red (another sunburn I guess).

Simon: S-Shut-up, K-Kittan!!! Just keep moving!

The man chuckled as he shrugged and closed the opening of the robot, leaving all of us squished inside the glass dome. My face squished against Simon's, again feeling his vanishing sunburn that had reappeared.

I felt the human gently put me down in yet another enclosed area. We watched as the man, Kittan, used his machine to pick up the other machine that the human I first met looked very attached to. I think it was called Lagann, if I remember correctly.

The girl, Yoko I think, finally pushed the beastman back enough to where she can finally run and escape with us. I turned to my blue haired acquaintance.

Nia: What's the title you go by?

Kittan: PFT! You mean name?!

I tilted my head confused as he began to laugh historically.

Simon: M-My name's Simon...
