CHAPTER 1

A/N

Hey guys,

So this is my first original, it's inspired by a lot of my favourite books. 

If you are reading this and you read my fanfiction: Percabeth AU, I just wanted to say I'm really sorry for not posting. I have had a lot of writers block recently and I just can't write, but hopefully I should finish writing a new chapter of that soon.

But I've been planning on doing this original for a while but because of lots of stuff I just haven't gotten around to doing it.

Also this is set in Minnesota in America just because I wanted it to set somewhere cold in America and Minnesota fit that criteria.

Talion's eyes snapped open at the sound of a crash. He slowly rubbed his eyes and got out of his bed. Whilst stretching, he looked out of his window, that's when he saw it. Some kind of black creature. It looked like a giant dog. Talion's eyes widened. He didn't know what it was. He had to get a closer look at it.

 He creeped out of his room and silently sprinted down the stairs. He stood in front of his front door, his hand trembling as he reached towards the handle. He opened it and stepped out of the house. 

His eyes scanned across the road ahead of him, he spotted the beast. It appeared to be chewing something. He moved closer and closer. Then it saw him. It started running towards him. Panic struck Talion, he froze unable to take in what was happening. The beast's mouth was dripping with blood. It seemed Talion would be its next victim...

"Talion!" Talion sat up. His entire face soaked in a cold sweat. 

"It was just a dream" he whispered to himself, "just a dream." 

"Talion!" 

"Yeah dad, I'm up" 

"Alright, well start getting ready"

"Ughhh" Talion groaned. First day of school. Well, at least he wasn't a freshman anymore. Maybe this year would actually be tolerable.

"Ralfy!" a young, soft voice called, "Ralfy?".

Ralfez Rios climbed out of his bed and opened his door to see a bright smiling face looking up at him. His six-year-old sister, Sofia, was looking at him, "Hurry up and come down, Mama's made your breakfast."

"Alright, tell her I'll be right there"

"Okay, Ralfy." She smiled skipping her way down the stairs.

Ralfez made his way into his bathroom. He looked into his mirror and

smiled.
"Today is going to be a good day," he said to himself.

The blaring noise of an alarm clock slowly penetrated his sleep. Blake reached his arm out to look for his alarm clock, accidentally knocking it over in the process.
He let out a small sigh of frustration and got up off his bed, picking up his alarm clock in the process. 

He then took a deep breath and smiled, his special way of starting off the morning in the best way possible.

Blake put on his clothes for the day. A simple blue shirt with black jeans and a pair of white shoes. He then made his way to his father's room. 

He looked at his dad for a brief second then proceeded to make his way downstairs.
He met his mum (A/N I'm British so please don't get mad that I say mum instead of mom) downstairs, "Oh good morning Blake."
"Morning"

"Oh, I have to work late tonight so I was wondering if you could pick up your father's medication." 

"Yeah sure, I'll pick them up after school," Blake said, his mouth full of cereal 

"Thank you, you're a lifesaver."

"No problem"

"Well I have to get going to now, I will see you tonight," she said hastily giving Blake a slight hug. 

"Bye"

The loud smack of his hockey stick hitting the puck wasn't one that bothered him anymore. He had gotten used to it over the years. 

Training was Mikel's number 1 priority this summer. He had to be the captain of the ice hockey team this year. 

He had been training everyday, waking up at 5 in the morning to get started. 

"Focus," He thought to himself, "dribble the ball, get close to the goal, take aim and-"

"Mikel!" 

He lost control of the ball almost falling over in the process. "What... oh...um hi dad."

"What are you doing?"

"Oh, I'm training."

"Well listen, you can't go on the ice skating rink for about a week"

"What? Why?"

"We are getting the entire thing cleaned, you've made quite a mess over the holidays, you practically lived here." 

"Okay, but where am I going to train?" 

"You have ice hockey after school 3 times a week, you can train there."

"But dad, I need to be the captain of the team this year." 

"And you will be, especially after all that training. Now go and get dressed,

your sister is making breakfast."

"Okay, are you going to be home tonight."

"No, I have a business trip."

Mikel sighed even though he knew this was going to be the answer. 

"I'll see you after then."
"Well anyway, have a good day son."

"Yeah, you too dad."

Mikel's father left the rink, leaving Mikel alone to his thoughts.

So that was the first chapter. 

I hope you guys enjoyed it. I'm sorry if it's a bit short, the chapter will get longer. 

But anyway I should be updating this in about a week or two. So yeah
