A Mother's Day Poem

10 2 1

(Written for my mother Mother's Day, 2018).

Beauty is in the form of you,

If you were a tiger you'd be in a zoo.

Because tigers are my favorite,

And I want you to savor it,

This day we have in brew.

You deserve the world,

But you will always be a pearl,

That deserves a perfect man.

Daddy is your number one fan!

Now it's time to be unfurled.

You're perfect in every way,

And we're all here to stay,

We'll never leave don't you fear,

Cause you sing like "doe, a dear!"

Your voice, you must display!

I want to create a duet,

But my voice I would not bet,

On anyone to sing with me.

But you would gamble it seems,

My singing is one you don't forget.

That's why I love you so much!

You were my first crutch,

You helped me to stay afloat,

When all I do is gloat.

You share your Motherly touch.

You're the best, we all know it.

Can you see your 22nd is so lit!

I love you with my whole heart,

Don't forget, you are so smart!

Now let's enjoy a banana split.
