" You cannot force yourself to be something that you're not" -Too many people
"Life was easy, study, socialize with acceptable people, don't let them know, keep appearances, do as your told, follow the rules, and repeat. That's what my life was like before you," she said to the grave site.
"Now that you're gone, how am I going to keep going? You were my rock, the one who I relied on. Now what?"
Her tears started to pour like the rain down her back. Mr. Keating looked on under his umbrella as she sobbed and poured out her heart to a gravestone.
"Neil! Please! I can't live without you! We were supposed to do this together, remember? We were going to run away after Hellton, get an apartment with Charlie and Todd. You were going to act and I was going to write."
The thunder rolled as the sobbing got louder, a flash started the man behind her, but he stood silent like a statue.
Her anguished cries alerted the man. He knew that she couldn't take much more of it.
He reached out from his umbrella, she turned, her tears mixing with the rain.
"We have to go, they are probably wondering where we are.''
She looked at him. Without another word she stood, looked at the gravestone, and followed the man.

The thunder boomed once again and the small boy woke with a cry, he reached beside his bed feeling for his lover, his rock, his protector, but besides him the bed was empty.
His eyes frantically searched the room for signs of the missing person. Then it hit him, the crushing weight that he would never find the missing boy.
His eyes watered and he felt the sobs startup in his chest again, burning him inside and out. He sobbed into the pillow his lover normally slept on, it still faintly smelled of him.
The new kid in the dorm let out a frustrated noise as he realized it wasn't going to be an easy night again.
He flung his sheets off the bed as he marched down the hall to his friend's dorm, leaving the sobbing boy, faintly heard, alone to wallow in his own loneliness.
♪
Blood, that's all he could see; that and his best friend's face, or what was left of it at least.
He stared in horror at the scene in front of him. He awoke with a start, sweat prickling his body and breathing as if he'd just finished a marathon. Knox was up and at his side.
"Are you ok man?"
He nodded, he was fine, he was alive and breathing, unlike-
"I'm fine."
Knox looked unconvinced, but sleep deprived. He sighed,
"Ok man, wake me if you need anything."
That was it. Like every night. He got up, and crept his way to the bathroom, passing the sobbing boy on his way there.
The moonlight shining through the window was the only light in the dark washroom. How did this happen to us? He thought as he looked at himself in the mirror.
Why did our lives end up this way?
