GLORY AND GORE
the odds are never
in our favour.
SYNOPSISTHE ODDS WERE NEVER IN AALIYAH FISCHERS FAVOUR, nor were they in anyone's. after losing her eldest brother to the 65th games, aaliyah is chosen as district 9's tribute for the 72nd. the games changed her, just like they changed everyone - she walked into the arena clueless, innocent and wanting nothing more than to survive without spilling the blood of any tribute. but walked out stained with the blood of her own allies and a tainted soul - she became a shell of who she used to be, with a deep rooted hatred for who she had become, and the individuals who she blamed for turning her into that very thing. when she's selected to compete in the 75th Hunger Games, she meets the man who killed her brother all those years ago. and into that arena she went, with one mindset - kill Finnick Odair and win.
