"You're just like the others!" I cried, tears blurring both my vision and my thoughts. "You promised you wouldn't do this." I added as I felt myself slump against the wall behind me. "You'd said you'd be better... but you were worse!"
"I tried, love! I honestly tried as hard as I could!" He cried back at me, shoulders shaking from the overwhelming emotions swirling around us. "Do you not see that? I did everything I could to keep you happy!"
I could see the hurt in his eyes as I looked up, his arms were wrapped around his torso. I knew this was making him both upset and uncomfortable. It was never meant to go this way. It wasn't my fault we were in this position, though. He had run off and found someone else. Someone else brought him happiness. Someone else made him laugh, smile, and enjoy himself.
