I saw you today. I saw you walk out of your front door with a smile on your face. I saw you skipping your way to our house and gave me a bone-crushing hug. We walked side by side on the way to school. I saw the way your eyes light up whenever a story came to mind. You don't know this, but I notice the little things about you. The way your eyes crease when you smile, the way your hair flows with the wind, and the way you talk like everything in this world is wonderful. I wonder, do you ever notice me too?
We made our way to class together and I couldn't help but notice the smile on your face when everyone greets you. That angelic smile that can light up the whole room. You suddenly grab my hand and told me to hurry up. You lead me through the corridor swarmed with people and all I could think about what your hand in mine. We finally reached the room and sat in our respective seats, mine next to yours. I stared at you for the longest time and I wondered if you ever noticed I was staring. One day, would you ever stare at me like I stare at you?
Fast forward to lunch you were happily walking towards the cafeteria with me not too far behind. I order our food while you look for a table. Once I got the food I looked for the table you picked out. You stood and waved like a mad man, I chuckled and made my way over. While we were eating you told me the weirdest of stories. Like the one where you fell of the tree and landed in the mud. You cried all day but it wasn't because it hurt when you fell, it was because your toy was covered in mud! No one has ever made me this happy. Do I make you as happy as you make me?
We were walking back to class and all of a sudden you ran and left me there. Then I saw him, the love of your life. I saw your smile, it was wider than ever before. I saw the way you look at him, it's as if he was the most important person in the world. I saw how happy you were, and I realized the was the only one who could bring a smile to your face. I should have told you how I felt sooner, and maybe you'd be with me. Although, seeing you happy makes up for all of it. I just want you to know that I love you, and I always will. In the end all I did was walk away, hoping that you'll be mine someday.
