--The Past--
Beta stood at the tree line, waiting for Omega to make her nightly appearance.
Though she had been banished, she still visited the edge of the Santuary each night. And each night, she looked upon the happy village, the ample creatures, woven and human alike, enjoying and loving life.
Witnessing the one thing she would never have again. Because the mother wasn't a forgiving one, Omega would never find a place in the pack once again.
Each night, she came to see and to mourn the life she had, herself, taken away with greed. But each night, Beta watched her and felt for her, even as he mated with his own bunch of females, impregnating them with his sacred seed, filling their bellies with offspring, he still wanted her, her delectable scent and her luscious body, her half mast eyes and her big breasts, all meant to satisfy every male's deepest desires.
Each night, he wished it was her below him, taking his stem, crying out in pleasure. He wished it was her, who sat beside him before the mother, presenting her swollen belly.
And this night, he had finally snuck away from his tired mate to come upon the border, witness his Omega up close, to see her sad eyes and the yearning upon her face as she watched her people live and thrive.
There in the clearing in front of the trees, Apha rutted a young female, bouncing her upon his stem in an ancient rhythm, the males witnessing the show of dominance clapped and cheered, the wolves howled into the night, praising the leader as the female's cries of pleasure reached a crescendo.
Once he was done knotting her, he beckoned another female close, he would be joined to the now limp female but the bulbous knot that ensured that his seed did not seep out of her pliant body but he still had his mouth free, and he buried his face in the thighs of the other willing female, Beta was almost sure that he had once rutted the same female, it had perhaps been a day or two.
He did not care. They all shared in the pack. Except for Omega, she would not be shared. She did not deserve that. She was a Queen, to be treated like a Queen.
She stood there, upon the cliff overlooking the clearing, watching Alpha's act of dominance.
"I ache." She said, sensing his presence.
"For him?" He asked, stepping out of his hiding place and wrapping his arms around her waist.
She shakes her head and looks down at his hands around her waist. "For the both of you. "
He places his head on her shoulder, in time to see Alpha raise his head and moan to the heavens.
"Why can you not want any one of us? I promise you, you will revel in the fruits of my body."
She turns in his arms, "I am having another male's child."
He backs away a few inches, his nose sniffing the air, trying to identify the foreign smell on her, the smell of another male, another male's child.
The scent is alien to him. Whoever impregnated Omega was not of the pack, perhaps not even a Direwolf.
"It was a human from the nearby village. The scent of my body in heat drove him to claim me."
Beta looks away, he is ashamed to say that he wasn't very happy with the news of a human mating Omega. An unworthy scum of the Earth. But he still asked,
"Does he treat you well?"
Omega turns back to the scene before them. "He is gentle, a simple Shepard. He went behind the back of his wife to lay with me. My child will be a bastard."
"Then kill it." Beta takes a step forward. "A human's child is not worth the space in your sacred womb. I will give you many strong children, kill it in your womb before it takes its first breath."
The female turns, her eyes are black, but Beta senses no arousal in the air, she moves past Beta and entered the line of trees, her robes moving in the wind,
"Omega! Wait." He says, following her.
"Have I angered you?" He asks, unsure. Following her delicate bare feet, she ignored the stones and sticks that pierced her feet and left behind red bloody stains.
When she does stop, it's near the village of humans, too close to the village for Beta to step closer.
"Please, speak to me. You have my heart, Omega."
She turns her head towards him, an expression on her face, so cold, that he shivers and takes a step back.
"You can have your heart back, Beta. For the male who dares to suggest that a mother kill her child is not worthy of me, you are not worthy of me. "
She goes into the village, that was the last time she ever wanted Beta.
