(Hey guys! This chapter may be a bit short, but I hope you enjoy- thanks for reading! Just a warning, this story will talk a lot about death & murder & gore and have some sexual scenes, so if any of that is a trigger for you, be prepared, or stop reading now. This story is told from Jughead's P.O.V.)

I wake up in a sweat, breathing rapidly from the excitement of my nightmare. I ran my hand through my hair, which was incredibly greasy, since I hadn't showered in a week. I haven't even moved from my bed in a week.

I groan, knowing that if I don't start taking care of my personal hygiene that I'll start growing fungus in between my toes. I check the time. 4:17. I swing my legs over the side of my bed and stand up, stretching out my unused limbs.

I pull of my clothes, that are so soaked with sweat that they stick to my body and I have difficulty pulling them off.

I reconsider just going back to bed, but know that Veronica would be angry if I didn't shower. She always pushed personal hygiene, and I was never to fond of it.

Well it didn't matter anyway, her personal hygiene didn't keep her alive.

I sighed and reluctantly walked into the bathroom, and turned on the shower. The sound of the water hitting the floor of the tub helped me clear my head, and think.

I had had the same nightmare again- police sirens ringing in my ear, Betty screaming, Veronica's dead body lying in the dirt, with her chest covered in blood.

I'd had the same nightmare every day for the past week, ever since her body was found. Ever since this nightmare happened in real life.

I hop in the shower, leaning my head back in satisfaction as the hot water hit my body. I began to replay the memory in my mind, like I had been doing everyday since it had happened.

Flashback

I took a swig of beer from the bottle before passing it to the person sitting next to me- that just happened to be my girlfriend, Veronica.

She took a swig even bigger than mine, and I raised my eyebrows, impressed. She grinned as she saw me, and gave me a sloppy kiss on the cheek.

"I'm gonna go, baby. Daddy's gonna be mad if he comes back and realizes that one of his cabins is a total mess," she giggles, and just as she stands up I pull her back down, grabbing her waist and bringing her onto my lap.

"Don't leaaavee," I whine, giving her a small kiss, trying to convince her that was reason enough to stay.

She smiles down at me but gets off my lap, "I'm sorry Juggie, but I gotta go make sure they haven't destroyed the place. You're cute though."

I let out a sad sigh, before grinning wildly and swinging her over my shoulder.

"JUGHEAD!" she laughs, banging on my back as I carry her into the bedroom, kicking the door shut with my foot. I throw her onto the bed and begin to kiss her collarbone. She laughs, wrapping her legs around me.

"You're crazy, Jones!" she giggles, and I get off of her, knowing when to stop.

"I know I know. Love me anyways?" I ask, pouting a little.

"Always," she smiles, giving me one last kiss before grabbing her shoes and heading into the woods, to go check out what Archie, Betty, Reggie, Cheryl, and Toni have done to her father's cabin.

I smile as I watch her go, impatient for her to get back already.

Flashback over

I feel my eyes begin to well up with tears again. I never should've let her go. Ever.

She never should've gone alone- I should've just gone with her. If she had just stayed with me, in my arms, she would still be here. I would still be able to see her smile, hear her laugh, taste her lips, hold her hand. And now, she's gone forever, because of one of her best friends.

And I won't stop until I find out which one of them murdered her in cold blood.

(Sorry this chapter is so short! They'll get longer, this is kind of an intro)
