Arranged Marriage

Chapter 2

Joy's POV

I know I know I know... I just was fine with it when mother asked about it but really I hate the idea of arranged marriages. I hate that you are not allowed to pick who you get to spend the rest the rest of your last be with and to be apart of it just makes me so completely angery and unhappy. Then you think if it make you feel all these things then why did you really agree to it . I have seen kingdoms go to war and fall all because a lot princess didn't want to marry the prince from the kingdom they were fighting. I love my kingdom to much to see that happen to it. To see people hungry and hurt and even worse die because I made some stupid decision. That will not be my parents kingdoms not if it has to go through me first.

Right now we were in the wagon heading for the Brooks kingdoms. The kingdom was ruled by a queen only. The King was rule to very one even his queen he would hit her hard so one day one of the pleasant had decide it was enough. They had snock into the castle during the middle of the night and kill the King freeing everyone from the King's evil. The Queen had to take over even though she wasn't really a Queen the peasants treated her like the one I wonder why?

We arrived at the kingdom and all of the peasants in the field seemed unhappy. They all had this rude looks on their face as I'd wanted to kill me and my family. I had looked out the other window and a peasant was being dragged into square. They had two guards holding his arms back then one behind him with a whip.The guard with the whip began to hit the poor over and over again. It was so horrifying I couldn't look much longer so I turned to face my parents. They had this worried looked on their face.

We were finally out of that terrifying village and had made it to the castle. I was amazed at how beautiful it was. It had stain class windows and sky high towers. The was a big garden in the front and in the back there was a red carpet that wagon had drove up on and to the front of the castle. The we walked out of the wagon and to the front of the castle where a lady with a crown on her head stood smiling she was very pretty and looked very kind you never think she would Be cable of the thing go on outside of the castle.

"Welcome Darrington to my wonderful castle and very soon to family" she says then walking over and giving me a tight hug. I hugged her back then said " Well it's an honor to become part of your wonderful family" I say with a sweet smile even though I really don't mean it. " Why thank you I'm Gina the queen of this dashing kingdom" she said gesturing towards the castle. I smile a genuine smile this time and say "I'm Joy and I hope it stays just as dashing and wonderful when I'm ruling it" I say shyly. " Don't worry I'm sure it will. How about you go see the rest of the castle yeah our coach men will get your things" she as we enter the castle.

It was even more amazing then outside. As soon as you had walked through the halls each and every window had these amazing drapes.I don't think I would mind living here really.My thoughts were interrupted by a noise coming for outside. I looked out the window and I seen two boys playing footie in the garden. One looked up at me and smiled he turned to brother and pointed up at me. I smile at them and waved they waved back and motioned for me to to walk down there. I nodding and made my way back to the garden.

I walked outside and over to the boys. They playing footie still by stopped when they had noticed me walking over."Hello" I said and smiled."Hello your highness" one of the boys said now that I was closer I could tell they twins. One had a little blonde in his hair and the other's was completely dark brown."I'm Luke and this is my brother Jai" he motions to the boy with the dark hair."Hello my lady, may it be said you are quite beautiful" He winks and Luke elbows him."Dude, she's engaged to Beau remember" he rolls his eyes." Oh your the Princess of Doncaster" He starts to walk around me.Once he returns to he's spot he says "Beau's a really lucky man" he bits he lip and I start to blush." Well I can't wait to meet your brother, hopefully he's are nice and charming as you two" I say.They smile and both each lock arms with me.Luke on the lift and Jai on the right."Well until then we will give you a formal tour of the castle, let's start with the garden"Jai says and Luke nods in agreement.
