Snuggling

I could not sleep at all, this idea has been coming up in my head for multiple nights now and I thought that it was about damn time I wrote it down. I started writing this story at 3:49 AM and I will probably be posting this right now at 6:30 AM. This is my first ever story to publish, but it's not my first ever story to write. I am currently writing a 35 chapter remake of Crisis on Earth X with a Superflash twist, and I'm currently on chapter 28. I was originally going to have that be my first ever story ever published, but I needed to get this story out of my head so that I can finally get some sleep. Once again thank you for giving me a chance and I hope you like it.

"Come on Kara. I need to go."

Kara Danvers laid in her bed with both eyes closed and with a smile stretching from ear to ear. She has never been more comfortable in her life, but right now this voice was trying to take that away from her.

"I'm going to be late."

Kara continued to ignore this voice. She didn't want to get up or more an inch because everything was in the perfect spot. She never wanted this era of peace and tranquility to end.

Kara groaned, "Five more minutes."

"You've been saying that for the past thirty minutes. Please Kara. Work with me here."

Having enough of this voice whining at her she opened her eyes slowly. At the moment everything was blurry, she could only see blotches of brown, green, and tan colors. After giving herself a small amount of time to have her vision realign, she was greeted with a clear image of her angry boyfriend. Barry Allen.

Kara groaned for a moment before speaking, "Good morning Bare."

Barry continued to hold his frown at her, "Do you know what time it is? I need to be at work in twenty minutes."

Kara had had her arms wrapped and locked around Barry's abdominal all morning long. Since she had super strength he had no way of getting out of her grip. He had been desperately trying to get out of her hold, but she refused to let go or wake up.

"Can you please let me go, I need to get ready for work.", Barry continued to complain.

Immediately after Kara heard that from Barry she tightened her grip and pressed her face deep into his chest, right under his chin, "No work. More snuggling."

"Karaaaaaa. Please. I'm going to lose my job if I show up late again, Captain Signh made that perfectly clear."

"Who cares." Kara's voice was muffled through Barry's shirt, "Why do you need your job anyway. Just stay in bed with me and snuggle. That's all we need."

Barry finally broke his frown with a chuckle. He chuckled at Kara's bright and innocent view of life, "As much as I would love to live in your ideal world Kara honey; we need money to pay for clothes, rent, house supplies."

"I hear a whole lot of talking, but not enough snuggling." Kara's voice rang from his chest.

Barry sighed at the large amount of work it took to get his alien girlfriend to release him from her holdings, "Without money I can't buy you food."

At the sound of the magic word Kara's grip loosened slightly.

Barry noticed this. He released he was getting somewhere with her, "Here Kara I have a proclamation for you. If you let me go right now I promise to pass by Catco on my lunch break and bring you lunch from Big Belly Burger. We can have lunch together later. How does that sound?"

Kara stayed quiet for a long moment. Her face continued to be buried in Barry's chest. How she was still breathing was a mystery to all.

"Ok. Do I have permission to alter your proclamation slightly?" Kara asked.

Barry thought about this before answering, "I guess. Let's hear them."

"I will let you go to work after five more minutes of snuggling, two triple triple combos, you take my patrolling shift tonight, and for dinner you make your delicious world famous chili. Deal?"

"What! No. That's a lot."

Barry suddenly felt Kara's grip tighten around his body again, "Agh! Fine! Fine! We'll have it your way."

Barry could feel Kara form a smile against his chest, "I swear it's like this every morning with you."

"You mad at me?" Kara asked him, finally pulling her face away from his chest to look up at him.

Barry looked down and locked eyes with her, after staring into her blue eyes for a while he bent his head down and gave her a kiss on the forehead, "No. I love that you always fight to keep us together."

Kara smiled and readjusted herself so that her head was still under his chin, but was now facing to the side. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the love of her life's presents.

Barry did the same, took in a deep breath and exhaled it to relax himself. He wrapped his arm around the one girl that meant everything to him and closed his eyes to enjoy himself as well, "I'm going to enjoy these next seven minutes of snuggling."

Kara's eyes suddenly opened, "I only asked for five."

"Yeah I know." Barry grinned, "But I want seven."
