HISTORYWhen the First Spinjitzu Master first appeared on Ninjago, he was overcomed by the evil (The Overlord) who conquered the lands. Driven to his last resort, the Master of Spinjitzu split the lands, using his elemental sword. There it became the Dark Island and Ninjago City. Not all the good and evil were separated. There was a group of humans who, in the process, got tangled up in this splitting-of-land and were isolated, divided away from Ninjago, to live out the rest of their lives on the Dark Island. The First Spinjitzu Master saw of this situation, hence he blessed more than half of those who got seperated with an element in hope of being the first guards in defending Ninjago City from evil. He could not risk bringing the people back lest they could have already been corrupted by the evil that dwells on that island. The second layer would be the other elemental masters, sworn to protect the First Spinjitzu Master on Ninjago Island.
CURRENT (OC)Nicknamed the Red Hare, the red-eyed boy is a descendant of the first people to ever live on the Dark Island. A hare is a fast-running, long-eared mammal that resembles a large rabbit, having very long hind legs and typically found in grassland or open woodland. He's got the "Red" part from his eyes and he's fondly proclaimed it to be his "power colour", obsessing over it, even painting his nails red. As such, the boy has been mistaken under countless occasions to be a girl instead of a boy, much to his irritation. Dubbed the "Red Hare", the boy was known to be a child prodigy whose attitude and keen excitement for hunting has brought his tribe into turning him into a "Ranger". The rangers, are the guards of their clan's tribal territory. There are many roles for survival on the Dark Island and being a ranger is the toughest job out there. Once an intruder is spotted, under any circumstances must the intruder be caught and brought back to meet the tribal leader to decide their fate. Any failure to do so will result in death of the Ranger. Even if the intruder set his or her foot down into their territory for a mere second must the intruder be caught in case of any spy or secret activities.
PERSONALITY
As a child, the Red Hare showed kindness and generosity, as exemplified by his willingness to risk his life in a podrace to help anyone at a time of need. He was not shy to express how he felt, and showed a reluctance to leave those he loved behind. Indeed, the Red Hare had a deep-seated fear of loss, especially in regards to his mother, which his Master sensed when he was being tested by the Tribe Council. This fear of loss would follow the Red Hare throughout his life, particularly after the death of his mother, carrying sadness, anger and guilt in his heart for years to come. Similarly, his experiences as a born slave would leave him with a deep resentment towards slavers. The Red Hare would mostly keep these feelings to himself, very rarely talking about them, even with those he trusted, as he struggled to put his past behind him, making an effort not to think about it.
As he grew older, Red Hare became cocky, reckless, impatient, willful, and cavalier, despite his Captain's efforts to train him as best as he could. Confident and bold, he demonstrated a lack of subtlety, which his Master once noted. Another was his tendency to disobey orders, which he did whenever he thought they weren't the best way to solve problems, and his cockiness. Despite his many failings, the Red Hare remained selfless, willing to lay down his life for others, and showed commitment to things greater than himself—the Council, the Tribe and his friends. Similarly, his relentless determination was rivaled by none, except perhaps by that of his fellow new ninja friends. In some aspects, his journey as a mentor to his own set of students allowed him to mature and become more responsible. His emotional balance, however, was disrupted by the High Council's decision to expel him and de-rank him from a "Full-time" Ranger to a Substitute Ranger.
