Prologue

'This is what I deserve.' I repeated to myself as I walked down the dimly lit hallway. My wrists ached from the rope that was only moments ago tightly tied to them. My head was pounding, maybe all the yelling that happened earlier. The person behind me telling me to hurry up was not helping, their obnoxious voice. I'd strangle them if I could, but seeing as I was surrounded by people on their side, it was a lost cause. They were pushing me to the door, which was a couple feet away. The door for my doom or for my freedom. I'd prefer doom. I've come this far because of what I've done. As the door gets closer my legs start to fail, I catch myself before falling but I got a hard shove anyway. We walked into a court room, large with wood on every surface. I was seated next to a guard, only there to make sure I stayed put. Not that it was necessary. In any case, the judge walks in. We do the normal pleasantries then the trial begins.

How the hell did I get here? Ether going to heaven or hell, let's see.
