Diggy P.O.V

“Babe, I know I didn’t tell you this earlier, but we’re staying at my parents house for the weekend.” As soon as I said that, Meghan froze. “Meghan, I know you’re worried about Jojo, but he won’t bother you, I promise, alright? I’m pretty sure he’s not even there.” She nodded, and I pulled her into a hug.

When we got to the house, I brought our bags upstairs, and looked for my parents. They left a note saying they went to go pick up some things. I reached in my pocket for my phone, and it wasn’t there. I remembered I left it on the nightstand at Jaden’s house. “Meg, I’ll be right back. Nobody is here, so don’t open the door for anybody.” I Said. “Yes father,”she said, laughing.

I was sitting in Dig’s room, on my phone, when I heard the bedroom door open. “Hey ba-.” I turned around and saw Jojo staring at me. “Well, Meghan, its nice to see you again,” he said with a creepy smile. “I wish I could say the same for you,” I said. He pushed me down on the bed. “Say anything about this to anyone, especially Diggy, or try to fight me off, I will hurt you both- bad.” He said. I didn’t move, or talk. I just cried. He sucked on my neck and kissed me, forcing his tongue in my mouth. He was feeling on me everywhere, and it made me very uncomfortable. His hands started moving up under my clothes. Please Diggy. Hurry up. Please.

I got into the house, and it was really quiet. Meghan must have been sleeping. I tiptoed up the steps and walked into my room. My jaw dropped. Jojo was on top of Meghan, kissing her, and touching all over her. “WHAT THE FUCK JOJO!” He jumped off of her surprised. I punched him repeatedly, anywhere I could get in a hit. I kicked him out of the house. “I can’t believe you let him do that to you,” I said. “Daniel, he said he was gonna hurt me and you if I fought him off! What was I supposed to do?” She screamed. “Stop screaming! Maybe if you would stop being such a slut all the time and talking to every guy you see, maybe people wouldn’t do this kind of thing to you!” I said. I pushed her against the wall, and she slowly slid down the wall, saying ‘ow’ and crying into her hands. What did I just do? I couldn’t have just put my hands on her like that. That wasn’t me. “Baby, I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I’ll never put my hands on you like that again.” I said. She was still crying. “I didn’t do anything! Why is everything my fault!” She screamed. “Its not your fault, Meghan. I’m so sorry.” I wiped away her tears, and rocked her in my arms. “You okay?” I asked her. She nodded and sniffled. She got up and got into bed. I changed into some basketball shorts and took my shirt off. I got into bed and wrapped my arms around her. She pushed them away. “Babe….Meg….Meghan…” No answer. I turned around so my back was facing her, and went to sleep. I really messed up.

The next morning, Meghan was lying down in bed, but she was awake. My mom cooked her breakfast, but she barely took two bites. She just stared into space without saying a word. “Baby, I said I was sorry  why won’t you talk to me? There’s nothing else I can do!” She still didn’t say anything. I walked up to her, and took her face in my hands. I caressed her face with my thumbs. All she did was stare at me with no expression on her face. Her bright eyes were now dull and lackluster. Her hair was limp, and her face looked sallow.I couldn’t take seeing her like this anymore. I proceeded to kiss her, but she dodged me. I tried again and she did the same thing. “You don’t understand how badly you hurt me. You called me a slut. You said what Jojo did was my fault. And you pushed me against a wall. Hard. You think a ‘sorry’ is gonna fix all of that?” She said calmly. “I don’t know  what else to do! Honestly, Meghan, can’t my apology be enough?” I said. She shook her head. “Daniel, I don’t think you have any sort of real care on your heart for me. Now that I think about it, your probably just with me for physical reasons. When we stared dating, all you did was try to kiss me, or find and excuse to touch me all the time. Until I said something about it, we never sat down face to face and had a deep conversation. You weren’t planning on letting me meet your parents at first. I know why now, but you could’ve arranged something where Jojo wouldn’t have been there. You’re keeping me- us, a secret. Do you even remember going on an actual date with me, Daniel?” She was right about the parents, the secret, and the date thing, but she was absolutely wrong about the not caring thing. I did love her, but I didn’t tell her yet because I wasn’t sure if the feelings were mutual. “You can say anything you want about meeting my parents, and going on dates, but you cannot question how much I care about you.” I got up and got a small box out of my nightstand drawer. I opened it to show her the necklace inside. I got her a necklace with a diamond heart charm. “Look on the back of the charm,” I told her. She turned it over. “I Love You Meghan,” she said, reading the charm. “Do you think I would spend money like this on a girl I didn’t care about? I really mean it Meg. I love you. Do you forgive me?” I asked. She nodded and smiled. I love you too, Dig.” She said. I gave her a hug. “I really am sorry, babe.” I told her. “I know. I’m sorry too,” she said. “You have nothing to be sorry for. What you need to be worried about right now is getting something to eat. You look half dead, and its killing me…you get it?” I said smiling. “You’re so corny, Dig,” she said laughing at me. I was glad we fixed everything. I almost lost her over something that want even her fault. I was gonna make sure I didn’t let it happen again.
