Ground connected with the flat of his shoes as his heart beat painfully against his ribcage. Swatting at branches that got in the way, Jason fled towards the road where his car remained, parked half in a ditch. The low, snarling howl rose up from the woods, it was closing in on him, terrified Jason scrambled up the side of the bank and over to his car, his hands shaking as he withdrew his keys from his pocket, his breath coming in harsh, raspy gasps from the exertion without his asthma inhaler.  As he found the car key he pushed it into the door lock but froze in place as he heard heavy breathing along with the blood curdling growls of the beast behind him. Slowly, Jason turned around, his eyes widening as he saw it. Jet black, sleek fur, glowing crimson red eyes, fangs as sharp as a daggers point. Its muscles rippled under its coat before bunching and coiling as it prepared to spring at the shaking seventeen year old. Whimpering the boy made himself as small as possible against the side of his car, his arms covering his head, exposing his side. A perfect target. As the beast leaped at him Jason screamed as the razor-sharp teeth slipped through his jumper and bit down into his flesh. Lights flickered in his vision causing him to gasp at the sudden brightness, realizing that the lights came from another car approaching Jason flicked his eyes to where the monstrosity had been. Although it had vanished. With a hand on his side he got to his feet, turning the key in the lock he opened the car door, slipping into the drivers seat one hand clasped tightly over the bleeding wound.

"what a crap night." he groans before starting the car heading to his house under the light of the full moon.
