There is this one song that children today still enjoy. They sang it almost everyday. You do know that everyone's heard this one child's song, right? Little Sally Walker? You know that one song that goes like this:
Little Sally Walker
Walking Down The Street
Didn't Know What To Do So
She Stopped In Front Of Me
And Said, “Hey Girl
Do Your Thing, Do Your Thing,
And Switch, Hey Girl
Do Your Thing, Do Your Thing
And Switch!”
Oh? Don't know that one? Well sense I got your attention, that's not what I wanted to talk to you about. Back in grade school, I remembered this girl with the same name, Sally Walker. She was a kind and sweet girl that everyone liked and would sometimes poke fun at her. Making funny versions of her name and other childish things we kids did back then. But there was something rather odd thing about her that no one never noticed except for me. It was this strange vibe swirling around her, I couldn't understand why no one else could see but me. But there was this event that happened to me that involved Sally...and let me tell you it was the most terrifying experience of my life that it was unbearable! But I might as well start from the beginning..., now I need to know where do begin... Ah! Yes, the first day she came to my school...the day it all started...
It was one of those clear, warm spring days that everyone enjoyed. The flowers were in bloom and the birds...the birds...There weren't any birds out that day. There weren't any chirps or singing, just silence. It was a uncomfortable walk to school, the feeling of dread and sorrow hung in the air around me like toxic gas. When I got to school, everyone was in a happy mood, it was as if no one had any idea of what was happening around them. I then hear a small voice in my mind, telling me to look to my right. So, I naturally looked and there she was, standing there with the other girls. But she seemed to be the most joyous of them all. She turned to left and saw me looking at her. Her long brown hair bounced around as she walked up to me.
“Hi, I'm Sally. What's your name?” She said to me.
“Hi, Sally. I'm Jimmy.” With no care in the world. Back them, I had no idea what she was but now when I think about her...I just go a little insane like I'm gonna murder someone. I don't even know how I escaped from the little bitch! Sorry...sorry...I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me get back to where we were...
“I hope to be friends with Jimmy,” She said smiling, “I..” Before she said anything, the bell rang and everyone headed to their classrooms. She turned to me with her sparkling, green eyes impaling my own blue eyes. Smiling, she turned and walked away without another word. I gulped and exhaled my breath, making my muscles tense.
I walked to first hour feeling strange and not the good kind of strange either. I kept wondering to myself if she was teasing me or if it was something more?
A month had passed as more stranger things started happening. There was this time where the math teacher, Miss Baker, was teaching us fractions. Out of boredom, I looked towards her desk and saw her pencil can started flowing in the air with no one around it at all! I whipped my head to look at the teacher and she didn't even notice it! The other students didn't either except for me and Sally...
Sally was just sitting in the back of the classroom smiling like she was staring into a candy shop. Her head was tilted a bit leaning toward the can while keeping her eyes on the teacher who had no idea of what dark magic was happening right in front of her own eyes! I stared at her for a moment not fascinated but just a spark of curiosity and caution. Without warning, her eyes latched onto my own, staring into my still pure soul with very dark intentions. In that moment, I couldn't look away even if I wanted to. Her eyes held a wonder...a wonder unknown to man twirling in those green orbs of hers which also held something dark, something that I did not want to know was there. Her eyes unlatched my innocent ones and turned toward the teacher who was now handing out worksheets, still unaware of the horrors of what was to come.
