Elliot and I slept in late the next morning. But I was okay with that because I woke up in my husband's arms and not in an empty bed. I felt tears in my eyes when Elliot kissed my forehead once he woke up. He used to do that every morning, twice on days that we both knew were going to be hard. It was his way of showing me that he loved me without saying it, just in case he forgot.

"How did you sleep?" Elliot asked, as he placed his hand to my arm and gently rubbed it.

"I slept well. I'm just a little nervous about heading home." I breathed.

"I'll talk to Cynthia about this. I'll get her to lay off. You don't need to fighting with her right now."

"Yeah, well it is happening. I'm going to go shower then get back into my clothes. Would you mind sending Mary a text and explain to her what is happening? Hopefully, she won't get it until lunch, but at least she knows."

"Of course, Liv. When is your next appointment?" Elliot asked, as I walked over and picked up my clothes and realized that we didn't end up putting them in the washer so they were still covered in mud.

"Friday at 4. I'm getting out of work at 3 to pick up the kids, then I'm taking them with me... Do you happen to have more clothes I could wear home? These are dirty."

"Yeah. Of course, I'll find something. While you are showering, I'm gonna pack up for my official move back home."

"Good. I love you, El. So much. Driving up here last night was probably one of the craziest things I've done, but it was so worth it." I breathed, before wiping a tear from my cheek. I looked at my husband and smiled, the corners of my mouth wobbling a bit.

"I love you too, baby."

Elliot drove home and I followed him in my car. We stopped for lunch and talked for a bit before getting back in our cars and finally reaching home. I parked before getting out and running my hands through my hair. Elliot grabbed his bags and walked over to me.

"You still look tired, baby."

"I am tired. El, I think I need to go talk to Cynthia. Would you maybe start a load of laundry while I'm talking to her? I'm behind and I'm not heading to work today."

"Yup, of course," Elliot spoke before he glanced up at the front window of the garage apartment. I looked up and saw Cynthia standing there and staring at me. She pointed towards the back of her apartment where the door was and I gave her a small nod before turning to my husband and placing a soft kiss to his unshaven cheek.

I quietly opened the garage and Elliot followed me in. He went into the house while I climbed the stairs. I walked towards the door before opening slowly. I should've knocked, but she knew that I was coming to talk to her.

"You drove to Maine last night and decided to tell me 3 hours after you said you'd be home. You lied to me then you come home with the man that hurt you. The one that told you to abort your child. How can you bring him back as if nothing happened?"

"If Gil asked to come back, would you let him?"

"No. I wouldn't." Cynthia spat.

"That is because you haven't gone through everything with him. He wasn't your other half like Elliot is mine. We started a relationship together nearly 16 years ago. I really don't remember days where I wasn't with Elliot. We have three, almost four kids together. He stood by me after Mom and Dad died. When you and Serena ignored me and missed my wedding. He didn't say no when I asked if Chris could stay with us. He is my husband and I will bring him back here if I want too." I spoke.

"Max and I are going to move out by the end of the week. I'm not going to watch you get hurt over and over again by the man who claims to love and care about you. I'm your big sister and you should've fucking listened to me. Now, I'm going to start packing up." She spat. I swallowed hard before turning and walking out of her apartment. I didn't make it down the stairs before sinking down onto the stairs before wiping the tears from my cheeks.

I decided to pick my husband and now I'm losing my sister.

[*]

"Mom?" Mary asked, on Friday afternoon. Cynthia had moved out after the kids went to school, and she didn't tell me where she was moving.

"Yes?" I questioned, as I got changed after my appointment. I could hear Elliot and Chris laughing downstairs while Meredith played on my bed since she is still confused about having Elliot back.

"Is this Aunt Cy's key?" Mary asked as she opened her hand and showed me the key.

"Yeah," I replied.

"Why was it in the mailbox? Mom, did she leave?" Mary asked.

"Uh, yeah she and Max moved out."

"What? Why?!" She exclaimed.

"Because she doesn't like that I let your father come home. She thinks that I don't need him." I breathed.

"She's never coming back, huh?"

"Yeah. I think she's done with me. I'm sorry, Mary. But, uh, honey, she still wants to talk to you. Just message her and set up a time. I can drop you off." I spoke.

"Is this because of the fight you and Dad had?"

"Yeah, and it's about how he left. It's a mess, but I guess it was going to happen."

"If you-"

"I want you to be able to see her and still have a relationship with your Aunt. I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Mary asked, and I nodded slowly.

"Yeah. I am. Now, I'm going to finish changing. Go pack up and I'll take you to Rose's house."

"Okay. She said that I need to bring my bathing suit. We are going to a hotel to swim."

"Then remember to pack it, miss." I smiled.

I hated that Mary thought that because Cynthia was done with me, that she'd have to also. I just hope that Cynthia felt the same as I do and wants to spend time with her nieces and nephews.
