My cousin Gabriela has been sad since her papa died. Gabby came to visit last week because her mama left to many decorations on her skin. I think that Gabby wants to be just like her mama cause she left decorations on her skin to match the ones her mama gave her. I told my mama and papa about Gabby's decorations they looked sad and told me never to put decorations on my skin, I told them I wouldn't and they looked slightly happier. Yesterday she walked to the bridge, I followed her and asked what she was doing she told me she was jumping to freedom, I asked if I could jump to freedom too. she said
"no cause your mama and papa love you too much now go home"
and I said "but mama and papa love you too"
she smiled a slow sad smile and said
"yeah I guess they do"
she jumped back over the railing and we walked home together. Later mama told me that the name Gabriela means gods strong woman. Gabby's strong because when her mama left decorations it hurt her skin and her heart.
