Starting Over?

~~Flash back 10 years~~

"Mummy what are we doing here? Mummy! Mummy! I don't like it here. Can we go now? Mummy! Mummy I want to go home. Can we go home please."  Begged the young girl with beautiful long brown hair cascading down just passed her shoulders and big doe placed on a gorgeous face with impeccable skin and the cutest cheeks, rounded of with a adorable little button nose in addition to some soft small lips.  

"Alex," the middle age woman with blond hair down to her shoulders and calming blue eyes  -who is Dr Eliza Danvers, Alex's mother-  spoke in a soothing and hushed tone "I have already told you why we are here. We are adopting a young girl, who will be your new sister!" She tried to say the last bit with as much enthusiasm as she could but was certain it was no help as a young Alex just stood there bemused. 

"Why? Mummy! I don't want a new sister or any sister, I just want you and daddy!" 

The young girl was starting to get quite emotional and tears began to brim up in her eyes; her mother looked with admiration at the young girl and the love she held for her and her husband (not that she thinks he deserves this sweet, innocent and utterly beautiful girls love but there was nothing she could do. It was not as if she could tell her the real reason why they were taking -home this fragile and broken alien girl) so instead she said "Alex, I know this is hard for you but I promise you that we will never stop loving you in fact you will have one more person to love you. But umm right now your father is signing the last of the papers so we can take your new sister home.. but... I guess umm really I should umm.." Eliza was obviously struggling to tell her daughter what was happening and was is going to happen.

 I mean there is no hand book or instructions on how to tell your daughter that you are adopting a young alien girl of only 5 from a secret government agency that found her in the middle of a field surrounded by beautiful mountains in what seemed to be a strange futuristic pod type spaceship (she wasn't really sure since she wasn't really listening when Jeremiah- Alex's father)  from a different planet and that because of this we are moving house to Midvale which is half way across the country and because of this you are going to have move house (obviously) and change schools and leave your friends behind. Oh and also your new adoptive sister has got super powers that you cant tell anyone about. But just as she was about to try and explain- everything, most things, some things, she was going to try- she heard locks clicking and so she stood up and said instead "I'll explain at home but for now just try to be nice and gentle with her," she looked back towards Alex and saw the look of worry or was that concern etched on her face and stroked arm to try and calm her and then carried on "Don't worry darlin' everything will be as it should."

The door open and her eyes immediately locked onto the small and skinny but absolutely gorgeous figure that was clutching a red blanket of sorts and a raggedy bunny toy by its ears and she wore a long sleeved pink stripped top and a pair of navy blue leggings. Her hair was in a tangled mess but it was a heavenly golden colour and her face was out of this world-literally- but her eyes, oh those eyes they were the most stunning colour and shape but there was just something so.. so alluring about them as if you just fall straight into them and be lost forever but there was something almost broken about this young child to like the way that she was almost hiding behind this average height but quite bulky man with a round-ish- face that had some light stubble on-which was her husband-.Jeremiah hand was linked to young girls and he started to walk in to the grey and steely room that had a iron desk and chair in the centre (in her opinion it could have been an interrogation room apart from that fact that it was quite big almost the size of their living room possibly bigger). Her mind was pulled back to reality when she felt her arm being tugged by her daughter Alex, she peered down to see a look on that beautiful face that she had never seen before it was a mix between worry and excitement and honestly in that moment she had no clue how she felt. She knew that she should be excited and overjoyed but also nervous yet she wasn't sure what it was that was coursing through her mind and body right at this moment but what she did know was that she had to try to look happy if not for herself but everyone else especially Kara. 

A second later a small horse voice spoke "Hello, I'm Kara." 

It seemed like she was directing this at Alex, which Alex,being the smart girl that she is caught on and replied with "Hello, I'm Alex and I will be your new sister," pausing and giving a timid smile then carried on saying " I hope you don't mind." which caused Eliza and Jeremiah to stifle a chuckle.

 Alex held out her hand as an indication for Kara to take it and follow her, which she did accordingly. Eliza followed them until they were out of site and then in the corner of her eye saw her husband approach her "What are you planning? What do you want with her? Is what you have already done not enough?" She spat at him and in return he gave a menacing smile then turn to follow the same path the two small girls had made earlier. Once he was out of sight she felt a tear roll down her cheek and a small sob escaped her lips.

Hey there if you have gotten here thank you so much! This is my first Fic and it means so much that you have read this far, now if this is not for you then I understand but if your interested please keep an eye out for the next part I aim to try and post at least one chapter a week but will see how it goes ;) There will be mention of self harm, abuse and other topics that people might fined upsetting or distressing but I will let you know at the top of each chapter. Now currently I'm not to sure how much detail I will be going onto but I have rated this as mature just in case  also please leave comments on if you liked it/what i could improve on, what you might want for future chapters and if you want it from just one persons point of view or not and once again Fanxs for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.
