"I'm gonna fucking die Harper, I'm gonna fucking die brutally and tragically and-"
"Language."
"German, you asshole." I spit, not even pausing for breath.
"You did that to yourself." Emmy snickers.
"But oh my god Harper what the fuck did you do my life is over oh my god."
"Look calm down, dude. This is hardly big compared to the shitstorm that your family is. Look at perspective and it's something small okay?"
Emmy hopped off my desk and grabbed Harper walking out my bedroom door calmly after saying their goodbyes and reassuring me one last time and quipping that staying probably wouldn't help me at this point.
She was right though. My family was a whole mess.

About 2 breakdowns later I finally collected myself and left to go to the Urie's house.

This time I made sure not to wear any panic! clothing instead opting for a shirt from the bar my mom worked at and some overalls.

"Try not to be an asshole Sky. No barking." I say quietly to her as I leave.

I calmly, and admittedly shakily, walk over the lawns to the Urie's house. I can see everyone laughing and sitting around in the backyard.

"Uh, Hi?" I take a deep breath and greet Brendon.

"Hi! Jax what's up?" I barely put in another word before he steers me around to introduce me to new but not unfamiliar faces.

"Hey Sarah! This is Jax- She's one of the new neighbors." There's a moment of recollection on Sarah's face before she greets me just as kindly and Brendon had, shaking my hand.

I talk to her for just a moment before Brendon is pulling me and introducing me to more people.

I leave with a smile on my face but since one comment Brendon made there's been a growing pit in my stomach.

He had mentioned that the my family- my dad and his friends- weren't really his kind of people. Which is unnerving in its own right. I cant stop thinking about what they might have said or did to give Brendon that impression, and mostly how that reflects on me. Although he did say I didn't seem quite like that, that only increased my racing thoughts.
I sigh and turn some music quietly on and try to sleep.
