Just to clear up that this is before the events in the musical.

It had been a usual night at the local 7/Eleven, the occasional customer here but nothing too eventful had happened so far on the cashier's shift. She let out a small sigh as she sat herself down on the stool after just finishing up a sale. Her shift felt like it had been going for hours but in reality she still had another hour to go. She dragged her hand down her face as she groaned softly.

Outside of the store a Pt cruiser pulled up in the parking lot. The owner of the second hand car fixed up his hoodie then with a grin on his face he exited the car and headed into the store. The brunette hummed along with his music as he walked down the aisle towards the drinks. When he pulled the door open, a wave of cold air him causing a him to shudder slightly. The stoner reached in, grabbing the bottle of mountain dew before shutting the door and headed towards the counter.

The cashier finally looked up from her hands, making eye contact with the customer. The both of them froze for a second, recognizing the other. For the cashier, he was labeled as the school stoner, always hip to hip with who she presumed to be either his best friend or boyfriend, it was pretty hard to tell what their relationship exactly was from her point of view
For the customer, she was seen as a popular kid in most people's eyes but she was popular in the way Christine is not bitchy like Jenna.

The h/c girl blinked, realizing she had been staring "a-ah, sorry" She quickly apologized rubbing the back of her neck. He simply adjusted his glasses as he looked off to the side, chuckling nervously "It's fine" He looked down at the counter as he placed the drink down on the counter before  grabbing a small bag of Doritos and placing it beside the bottle.

"It's...Micheal right?" Y/n asked, scanning the products. Micheal turned his attention back onto her with slightly widened eyes "Yeaah, you're Y/n" Y/n's smiled widened slightly, nodding in agreement. "we have a few classes together if i remember correctly" Y/n brushed a strand of her hair back behind her ear "ehh..yeah! homeroom, math, english, science and P.E." Micheal listed off. Y/n furrowed her eyebrows slightly noticing how quickly he had named their shared classes off. Micheal's eyes widened slightly realizing how creepy that must have sounded "i mean, i think we do at least.." He slipped his hands into the pocket's of his hoodies.

The employ looked back over at the register "okay, well is that all for today?" she raised a brow, looking over at him out of the corner of her eye "could i actually have a large cherry slushie as well?" he asked. A smile rose to her face "could choice" She grabbed a large cup before walking over to the machine, filling up al the way she could. Y/n then put the lid on and filled it up juuuust that little bit more. She stuck the straw in before walking back over to the register.

"now that'll be $8.27 today, would you like a bag or receipt at all?" Y/n asked just as he handed her ten dollars. Micheal shook his head "no thanks" Y/n handed him back the change with a charming smile. The brunette could feel his cheeks heat up in just the slightest from the small action before slipping his change into his pocket "i'll see you at school tomorrow?" Y/n asked as she sat herself back down on the stool "if i don't die a tragic death before hand, you should" Micheal joked causing her to chuckle softly "well hopefully you don't, i'll see you around Micheal" "till we meet again m'lady" Micheal bowed before walking out of the store.

Jake soon pulled up in the car park with his car full of his friends; Rich in the passenger seat, Y/n and Christine in the back. They slipped their bags on before getting out of the car "So! how was your shift yesterday?" Christine asked. Y/n scratched the back side of her head "pretty uneventful, I did have Micheal come in" Rich looked over at him "Who? the stoner?" Y/n rolled his eyes "you really should stop calling him that" Y/n pointed out to which Rich simple shrugged "whatever"

"till we meet again m'lady?" Jeremy repeated while Micheal tilted his head back shutting his locker "i thought it would sound charming okay?" Micheal shot back at his friend, even though he was embarrassed he couldn't take the smile off of his face "jeez, and here i was taking dating advice from you" Jeremy shook his head adjusting his bag. Micheal elbowed him in the gut softly causing the two to start laughing but was soon interrupted by Rich shoving the two into the lockers "watch it losers!" He snapped at the two which resulted with a swift slap to the back of his head "will you stop it?" Y/n shot at her friend before looking at the two. She gave a quick sorry before pushing her short friend further down the hall as he grumbled in protest to her.

Micheal and Jeremy slowly turned towards one another "did that just.." "oh my god your charm worked, teach me your ways" Jeremy joked causing him to get a shove in the shoulder from his friend. The bell rang signalling the start of class "i'll meet up with you again at recess alright?" Micheal nodded before waving goodbye to his friend, heading towards his homeroom.
