Loneliness

It was just another normal day for the Host. Barley eating food and sitting at his desk in the basement library writing. This was how it always was for the Host. He was usually left out from most of the activities his fellow egos would join in. And he rarely was invited to any meetings. People just assumed that he liked to be alone. He didn't mind loneliness, but the silence did sometimes put him on edge. He guessed that it would be nice to have someone to talks to once and a while, and maybe not be so alone. He didn't even know most of the egos there. His sight prevented him from knowing if anyone's existence who didn't talk that much. The Host wished so badly to be like the others. All he wanted was a life that didn't constantly spiral downhill and to maybe experience something nice once and a while.

The Host leaned back against his chair and let out a big sigh, "Why won't anyone notice me..." he said to himself solemnly.

"Well everyone does notice you but prefers to leave you alone, your narrations and mumblings can get quite annoying you know..."

The Host sat up abruptly. "What the hell? Who's there?"

"Jesus calm down. I'm was just trying to charge somewhere quiet and peaceful."

"Who the hell are you?"

"You don't know who I am?" The android sat up from the corner he had camped out in, charging away. "It's me, Google? The android?"

"Oh I've heard of you," Host responded quietly. "You're that grumpy blue boy Bing always talks about huh?" The Host smirked.

"He said what about me?!" Google said, taken aback. How dare the other android talk about him that way?

"Jeez don't get your wires in a bunch." The Host chuckled and sunk back into his seat. "So, who gave you permission to charge in my library?"

"I did, now if you would excuse me, I am only in 58% and would like to get to 100% without being interrupted." The blue robot sat back down and closed his eyes. His G shapes core humming and glowing a light blue.

"How does that even work?" The Host said as he mumbled something and walked out from his chair and sat in front of Google.

"How does what work?" the annoyed robot cracked one eye open.

"Your charging system. How does it work. There is obviously no plug or wireless anything, so how does it work?"

Google let out a deep sigh, having heard this question again and again. "Listen, it's technology far to complex for you to understand. And I should be asking the questions here. How were you able to ask about my charging system or even write if your blind?" He raised an eyebrow at the blind Author.

Host, putting on his best robotic voice impression, said, "Listen, it's magic far to complex for you to understand." The robot grumbled at this "But on a serious note it's my narrations that help me see. If I try do describe what things around me look like, I can start to see faint outlines of the room that I'm in."

"Huh, that's impressive. You know I've always taken you for the quiet and docile type you know? Well, considering how you act during the meetings." Google said.

The author and the android talked for hours, even after Google had reached 100%. It was 8:30 now and the blue robot decided that it was time for him to head back upstairs.

"When can we talk again? This was nice" The Host called after Google, who was walking up the stairs.

"How about you let me charge here and we can talk so you don't loose your mind from being so lonely" he called back.

"Hah! I think it's a bit too late for that! But that does seem like a nice plan. I'll see you later Google!" The Host waved in the direction of the android. Google however did not wave back.

The Host just brushed it off and thought that he had not heard him or something. He was so exited anyways about having a new friend. Or only friend. To be exact.
