Chapter 1: Introducing...me?
Abby's POV
"Abby! Hey Abby!" Charlotte yells from across the hall.
She's so loud sometimes, I wish I could just shove a sock into her mouth.
Charlotte comes close to my ear and starts screaming at the top of her lungs. I try to ignore her, but she starts to lick the side of my cheek.
"Yuck" I sigh under my breathe. I shove Charlotte off me.
"Do you think you're gonna survive here?" She whispers, suspiciously looking around her. "I wonder if this school even lets us wear our hair down, because we all know your hair looks terrible when it's tied up." She lays a finger on her purple striped hair to indicate more clearly to me what hair is.
"I don't know if your even allowed to have purple strips in your hair." I frown at her, which only makes her smile widen.
"Well, if they don't like it, they'll just have to ignore it, 'coz I'm never going to back down when it comes to my hair." Her smile turns into a cheeky grin. She digs into her jean pocket and takes out a piece of paper with numbers on them.
"I hope our lockers are big..." I sigh. She puts in her locker code in and opens the door wide.
"Nope, pretty small." Charlotte starts to put all her books into her locker, stacking them on top of each other in a messy pile.
"Another year with a messy locker Charlotte?" She turns to me and pokes her tongue out.
"Another year as a perfectionist Abby?" Charlotte says in a high tone.
I grumble and start to put my locker code in. Charlotte finishes up with her messy filing system and starts to stick up pictures of us, happy, on her locker door.
"I'm still angry at you Charlotte, for what you've done." I suddenly stop and say to her.
Last year Charlotte decided to make a major prank on the school. It's a prank that people have already thought of, but many haven't been able to do; flood the school. It was a Saturday night, and we didn't have anything else to do. Charlotte was filing her nails while I flicked through some magazines. Charlotte suddenly stopped filing her nails and gasped so loud that I got really worried.
"Babe, we should totes throw a giant prank on the school!" She exclaimed suddenly.
"No, we'll get into trouble though!" I replied to her. She looked like she didn't even hear me.
"It will be so great! Maybe if we do it, Jeremy will be so impressed with me that he'll just have to go on a date with me!" Jeremy is this guy she really likes. She's kind of obsessive though, because I catch her staring at his profile pic on Facebook all the time! She even says to me sometimes that she'll kidnap him one day and force him to marry her.
"Hon, I really think it won't be a good idea. We'll get expelled!"
"That's unless the teachers catch us." Charlotte replies with a mischievous smile.
"Even if we do get away with it, would you really trust Jeremy to keep a secret?" She did think about it for a minute, but then replied with a simple shrug that says I-don't-give-crap and walks over to my small study desk. She grabs a notepad and pen and starts to write up a plan.
"OK, we'll go through the back exit of the school, because the janitors never lock this door. Then, we'll sneak over to the water fountain near the science department and rip out the hose that connects it to the water pipes-" I interrupt Charlotte's scheme and shake my head.
