The Selection: Prince Nathaniel

Meet Elestren

"Hello Prince Nathaniel!" the next girl says as she opens the door. She curtsys deeply.

"Hello! Please sit down." I saw motioning to the chairs. This girl has long, straight black hair and almond shaped eyes. Her skin is very light and smooth. 

"It truly is an honor to meet you." she comments. "I have been dreaming of this day since I was a little girl! Actually, do you know that we have the same birthday? Like, we born on the SAME day nineteen years ago!" 

"Oh wow! That's great! But what is your name?"

"Elestren! It's a little odd, I know." she replies. Elestren is full of energy! 

"No no, it's pretty! So which province are you from? I'm starting to loose track of what's next." I say with a little shrug of my shoulders.

"Ha! That's perfectly okay I forget things all of the time! I'm from Calgary. It's nice to come to Angeles this time of year since it's so cold where I'm from right now! I have always wanted to see the palace, and the beach, and palm trees, this day has just been great so far!" 

I laugh. "I bet it has! Living near a beach is great!"

"Oh I am just so excited to go swim in the ocean! Calgary has only a few lakes and such so I'm just ready to swim in something that is not full of chlorine! And get a tan, wow that would be just amazing!" 

Elestren talks a million miles an hour. I feel like she is one of those people who takes hours to tell a story because she keeps talking and talking and talking! I am pretty quiet for the most part, she would be nice to have to do the talking for me! "What do you do for work?"

"I'm a waitress. I work at this little seafood place. We have pictures and sea-themed stuff all over the place; despite being in a land-locked province. My love for the sea started when I started my job there a long time ago." Elestren says. 

"I will personally make sure you get to see the ocean at your stay here." I say with a small smile.

"Oh wow would you really? Wow that's just amazing! I can't believe it! Thank you so much! Oh my how can I ever repay you?"

"There's no need. Just think of it as a gift."

"Thank you so much! I appreciate it very much."

"Of course! It looks like our five minutes are up; do you have any questions for me?" I ask.

"Yes I have lots actually! So..."

"Wait wait, can we just do one to keep the process moving?" I ask. Elestren seems like the type of person to bombard me with thousands of personal questions all at once. 

"Sure. Let's see here." she says thinking. "What is the best thing you have ever gotten for your birthday?"

"Ummm." I say thinking. What would be the best thing? I really liked the camera I got when I was thirteen. But I also loved the drum set I got last year. "I got a drum set last year. I've been practicing ever since."

"Oh that's great! I know absolutely nothing about music but I'm sure you are a great player. I bet..."

Elestren is interrupted by a guard coming into the room. "You are over time Your Majesty."

"Yes, okay. You better leave before they take you away!" I joke.

"Yes, yes. It was nice to meet you!" she says with a curtsy. She lingers for a second after saying goodbye, and she finally leaves just as the guard was bout to step in. Elestren talks a lot, but she has a lovely personality. She is one person I am very excited to get to know more!
