The next morning, Olivia and Elliot got up and headed to work. Olivia was working the cash register today and Elliot was still working back in the deli department so once they arrived at the store, they parted.

Olivia didn't really have anything to do at first, so while she waited for customers to come to check out, she cleaned up her station and went and organized the candy in her lane. While she was returning with her cash drawer, a woman with blonde hair so light that it was almost white, was standing there waiting.

"Sorry for making you wait," Olivia spoke, as she started to ring the woman up. The woman stared at Olivia for several moments until Olivia looked up.

"Is there something wrong?" Olivia questioned, and the woman swallowed hard before holding up a picture. It was of Olivia and Olivia didn't know where this random woman had gotten it.

"Is this you?" She asked, her voice shaking a bit.

"How did you get that?" Olivia breathed.

"You were reported missing in New York City. You disappeared when my son did."

"Your son?" Olivia asked, before looking into the woman's blue eyes. Those blue eyes were the same ones that the love of her life had. The ones she always saw so filled with love for her.

"Elliot Stabler... I'm Bernadette Stabler. I was just released from a hospital in New York. My husband forced me in there when I tried to get a divorce from him and tried to take the kids. Tried to take my Elliot." She breathed. Olivia felt as her heart started to beat out of her chest.

She was hoping and praying that Mrs. Stabler wouldn't try and take Elliot back to Manhattan with her. That she'd let Elliot stay here.

"How'd you find us?" Olivia whispered as she looked around to see if anyone was watching them.

"I talked to a detective in Pittsburgh. I knew that that was where Joseph was. I talked to them and he told me that you had contacted him. That you were in Denver."

"I didn't tell him that I was in Denver..." Olivia sighed, before knowing that Detective Biggs had tracked her phone to see where she had moved.

"Is Elliot here? Or nearby?"

"Please don't take him back with you, Mrs. Stabler. Elliot and I are happy... we are in love." Olivia whispered tearfully.

"You two are dating?" Mrs. Stabler breathed.

"Yeah, we are. We left together because we were both getting abused. But we are good. Please promise me that you won't take him."

"I want to make sure my son is good. I'm not crazy... I am bipolar but I am on medicine and do not have bouts of mania that often." Mrs. Stabler spoke, and Olivia nodded slowly.

"I'll go show you where he is."

Elliot was busy getting the chickens into the smoker they had out back when he heard Olivia call his name. He stood up and looked over at Olivia. But beside her was his mother.

"Mom? Fuck, what are you doing here?!" Elliot exclaimed as he shut the smoker before taking his gloves off. He threw those away before running to his mother. He hugged her tightly, and she hugged him back just as tightly.

"I needed to see you, honey. I needed you to know why I left."

"You needed help, and I don't know how you are out." Elliot breathed, as he stepped back. He looked at Olivia and saw that she looked like she might start crying.

"I asked your father for a divorce, and I told him that I wanted to take you and your siblings with me. He said he refused to let that happen and he started to say I wasn't allowed to take my medicine and he forced me into the hospital. Baby, I didn't want to leave you." Mrs. Stabler breathed.

Elliot reached out and wiped a tear from his mother's cheek before pulling her close and kissing her forehead. Elliot could remember when he was shorter than his mother and she used to be the one drawing him close and kissing his forehead.

"Mom, I'm going to take you to Olivia and I's house. Okay? Can you stay there today while Olivia and I work?" Elliot asked, and his mother nodded slowly.

"Yeah. But I have a hotel room and maybe I could come over after your shift?" She asked. Olivia looked over at Elliot before sighing softly.

"Elliot, why don't you spend the day with your mom. I'll cover for you." Olivia spoke, and Elliot eyed her.

"Are you sure, love?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. Just go. I'll talk to the manager." Olivia breathed. Elliot walked closer to her and kissed her several times before wrapping his arm around his mother's shoulder and leading her back into the store.

Olivia was hoping and praying that Elliot would also tell his mother that he wanted to stay here. Because if he went back, Olivia would be so alone and wouldn't be able to handle it.

Elliot and his mother ate lunch together and he told her exactly what had happened after she was admitted to the hospital. He talked about Olivia and how they decided to leave together. He explained what had happened to Olivia too, and even brought up Avery.

"You two could come back home with me. I'd take care of you both."

"Mom, I would say yes if it wasn't for Olivia. We are happy here, and I love her so much and can't leave her."

"I said you both could come home!" Mrs. Stabler exclaimed.

"Mom, listen to me, okay? Manhattan is no longer our home. Denver is our home. Olivia and I are saving up for a house and we plan on getting married and having babies. We have a plan, and going back to Manhattan isn't part of that plan."

"I'm going to miss you so much when I go back." His mother whimpered. Elliot reached out and grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently.

"Move here, Mom. Away from the trauma that you experienced back there. Be here and when we get the house, you can move in with us. And I know you'll just love Olivia."

"She begged me to let you stay. I'm not going to make you go home, I'm just asking."

"I'm staying here because I'm in love with that girl and I can't live without her."

"Then I'll stay too."

"Are you sure?"

"If you are here, then I want to be here too."
