Strolling into my new home, secretly I marvelled at the beauty that surrounded me. Grand marble staircases gave way towards what must be a sun room with huge billowing curtains which once swept aside, showed the most glamorous room. Peaking further down the never ending hallway I saw more and more doors with a tasteful layout, however I could tell they had been modernised to fit the needs of all the pack house. Fancy yet comfortable chairs set the placement of the rest of the furniture and statues. It was quite obvious that someone with great taste had designed the house and decorated it- without a doubt it would be Mrs Nortan.

I quietly tiptoed up the stairs, past the many, many rooms. It appeared that it wasn't just us,the Nortan's and other important pack members that lived here as I had previously thought. My eyes gazed at the hand painted calligraphy signs of names on the doors that led down yet another hallway. This house had different wings to it and I wondered who had a bedroom next to mine. I knew for definite that Emily was not near me which I was so grateful for.

Spotting my name in the dozen others, I swiftly strode towards it and opened my door. There on my bed, sat Emily. My face displayed the shock at seeing her in here, while her features re arranged into a bored look as her eyes scanned the room. Upon seeing everything, her face showed a smirk as if she was laughing at the layout.

My bed stood pushed into an alcove, a double bed which fit perfectly in there and had a curtain to pull across to block me from the rest of my room. If you looked closely enough, you could see the outlined of a camouflaged door where there was an old fashioned device to pull food up which I definitely planned on using, and another door that showed more steps. If you climbed up these steps it led to another room at the top of the house in a spiral room, where there were slides (cue squeal) which led to different places throughout the house. There was four lights on the wall, one on each corner to make sure I would be able to see. In another corner of my room sat a chair that was supported from a thick rope from the ceiling. It had puffed up cushions and looked comfy. On the other side of the room stood a wall of just books on a bookcase that went from the ceiling to the floor. A ladder to climb to the very top to reach all my book was situation in front, with a black sofa having a book area and a cup holder. There was also a desk, draws, a walk in wardrobe however no on suit. Apparently, I had to share a bathroom with two or three others but I didn't know exactly who. My door was painted just like a Tardis and the curtain to pull across my bed had quotes from all the books I loved.

"What do you want Emily" I said, exasperation seeping into my tone. I was sick of her.

"Well, 'dear' sister of mine" she started, "I know that you are now mates with Ryder. I know you will probably fall in love with him, stay with him. But think this through. HE DOESN'T LOVE YOU"

"Get out" I picked her up and shoved her out my door. "I don't want to hear any more lies"

"Hah" she said smirking "You wish I was lying! Well I have proof" she said wiggling a piece of paper in my face: "This says that Ryder has been in our old town, where he met up with me. We had a close relationship together for a couple of weeks before he had to leave again. Don't be surprised he wants me, you could be just like me. He hopes. But you aren't. He. Wants. Me. The faster you realise this the better your life will be. I want him and he wants me. You should realise this now. You're his sloppy seconds!"

"GET OUT!" I said enraged yet I still took the piece of paper from her. I wanted to check this through and do some research before I told Ryder about it.

Slamming the door in her face, I stuffed the piece of paper underneath my bed, wanting to forget all about it for now. Climbing into bed I curled up under the covers and waiting for sleep to take me.

The next day as I left for school, I met up with Rosie, Connie and Ellie as we walked into first lesson: the dreaded maths. Inside my pocket was the piece of paper that Emily had given me last night and I was planning on talking to them about it at dinner.
