Day 1:

Nayeon is up earlier than usual. She was now taking her shower and is wondering how she woke up earlier than her alarm clock. Nayeon also thinks she didn't sleep well last night. She just shrugged the thought and continued showering.

Nayeon thought of making Sana breakfast before she go to her trip. Well, she haven't cooked in awhile and most of her tries ended up being a disaster but she feels it'll be alright this time.

Nayeon approached her door and discovered a sticky note in front of it.

Good morning Nabong ;)

I have to go early and I didn't wake you up. Take care and see you in three days!

Xoxo,
Sana

Nayeon bumped her head against the door frame after reading the note and sighed. The thought of her and Jeongyeon together bothered her without a specific reason. It just does, and it frustrates her more. Jeongyeon isn't exactly talkative and friendly unlike Sana and the other girl made her feel unwelcomed.

Nayeon glanced at Jeongyeon's door and there was also a note to it. Nayeon didn't bother reading it and proceeded to the kitchen.

Ya, Nayeon. Maybe she also feels the same with you. You weren't exactly talkative to her too.

Nayeon began to argue with herself.

Nayeon 1: But Sana talked to me first.

Nayeon 2: Not all people are the same.

Nayeon 1: But they're cousins.

Nayeon 2: I don't know if that makes sense. It doesn't work that way.

Nayeon can imagine her other self eye-rolling at her. Nayeon opened the refrigerator and took 3 eggs. She also took the pancake mix from the cupboard and decided to cook breakfast for them.
Guess she'll have to put efforts in befriending the other girl first and see where it goes.

------------

After half-an-hour of tiptoeing the kitchen to avoid making a sound (in attempts of not waking up her remaining roommate). Nayeon made her first pancake.

Her inner self felt proud of her. It was her first time making this and it looked perfect. She smiled widely while transfering the pancake to a saucer.

She saw the island counter full of flour dust and egg whites that spilled from her first attempts of breaking eggs. The floor is not exempted too. The kitchen is a mess and so is her face that time, but it got her her first ever pancake and Nayeon is happy, so she proceeded to cook the rest of the mix.

Nayeon is done cooking the rest of the mix when Sana called. She carefully placed the newly cooked pancakes before answering the call.

"Hello?"

"Nabong-ah! You're awake now?"

"Huh? Yeah, I've been awake for an hour already." Nayeon answered, leaning against the sink.

"Woah."

Nayeon chuckled. "Why? Are you trying to wake me up?"

"Haha yes. But good thing you're awake already. I guess you're on your way to school right now?" Sana inquired.

"No. I'm making breakfast." Nayeon proudly said.

"Daebak! How come you don't cook when I'm there?" Nayeon could imagine Sana pouting right now.

"Well it's because you always cooks for us. And you're a good cook."

"Yeah, that's right. Anyway, I need to hang up now. I'll catch some sleep during the ride. Annyeong!"

"Annyeong." Sana ended the call and Nayeon smiled looking at her phone. She was touched by Sana's thoughtfulness.

However, her smile faded quickly when she saw the time in her phone's interface: 7:39 am.

"Omo! It's late already. Aishh!"

Nayeon quickly cleaned the mess on the table and covered the pancakes. She was tempted to taste one of them but she was really running late plus, Jimin's group will be having a report today and she can't miss it.

---------------

Jeongyeon was done showering when she heard the front door closed. The main door has chimes in it so you'll really know if someone came in/out. Jeongyeon found it annoying but Sana insisted it should stay there.

Jeongyeon changed and went to the kitchen to brush her teeth. She thought of eating breakfast after her first subject but she noticed some pancakes in the island counter.

"Did Sana cooked this? Didn't she left at dawn?"

Or it must be Nahyun. She thought.

She opened the lid of the warm container and the smell of pancakes overwhelmed her.

"It smells good."

Jeongyeon bit her lip as the sweet smell of pancake infiltrated her nostrils. Jeongyeon checked her watch and calculated how much spare time she has before going late.

After mentally calculating, Jeongyeon grabbed a fork in the drawer, sliced a piece of pancake, and took a bite.

-------------

Nayeon made it to class 3 minutes before it starts. She was panting and looked immediately for Jimin.

"Jiminie!!"

Jimin was in front of the classroom fixing his laptop on the projector.

"Here. You'll be needing this."

Nayeon handed Jimin his notes which she borrowed the day before. She photocopied it for study purposes but she didn't share a class with Jimin yesterday so she forgot returning it to him.

"Thanks! I wondered where I've put this last night. I forgot you borrowed it." Jimin smiled, his eyes vanishing.

Nayeon returned to her seat. Since Jimin was in front, the space beside Nayeon was empty. On regular days, she'd be worried because no one would stop her from sleeping in class but she can't sleep today, she'll cheer for Jimin.

Their Professor arrived and signaled Jimin to start the presentation. Jimin will report about the classic Romeo and Juliet.

Jimin was now explaining the plot of the story when she heard something shuffling in Jimin's seat. When she turned to look at it, she saw Jeongyeon's figure sitting on the chair, putting her bag beside the foot of it.
Nayeon was stunned and focused her eyes on Jeongyeon's image in front her, getting a pen and a notebook from her bag, but she can't let Jeongyeon have Jimin's seat.

"Y-yah, that's J-jimin's sea--"

Jeongyeon softly  turned her gaze towards Nayeon, not speaking anything.

Like a deja vu, Nayeon looked into Jeongyeon's set of eyes just like their first encounter, and her focus can't seem to leave them for a moment. Nayeon blinked - once, twice, three times, attempting to get away but Jeongyeon perfectly trapped Nayeon's gaze into hers.

It was until Nayeon heard Jimin cleared his throat in the podium did she realized what was going on and broke their staring contest first. She sat straight in her seat avoiding any glimpse of the girl beside her. Nayeon had no idea if Jeongyeon was still looking at her or at the report in front.

Nayeon was convinced. There's really something wrong with her and it only comes out whenever the other girl is around. And it's really bugging her.
