Mackenzie's POV

"Okay, so you know to call me if you need anything or if something happens. I may be out late tonight. We're going to dinner and then to a bar." My mom informed me.

"We'll be fine." I told her.

"Okay, be good, I love you soooo much!" My mom said as she kissed the top of my head.

"Love you too, don't get stupid!" I yelled as she was walking out.

"I don't plan to have anymore than 2 drinks, don't worry so much." She giggled as she left.

Once my mom left, Isaiah and I relaxed on the couch. As he napped, I scanned through the guide on the tv. About a half hour after I got settled, the doorbell rang.

"Oh, hello. My moms not here right now." I told Mike whom was standing in the doorway.

"I know. She texted me asking if I could come over and hangout with you and Isaiah while she's gone." Mike chuckled. "I suppose I'm the certified babysitter."

"I don't need a babysitter." I raised my eyebrows.

"Your mom asked me to babysit your brother, sorry." Mike chuckled. "She figured you may wanna go out with friends or something." Mike lied.

"I'd prefer to stay here. But thank you. I could catch up on my college stuff though!" I told Mike as I made my way up the steps. "Oh, my mom pumped before she left. So his bottle is in the fridge. Let me know if you need help with that."

Carrie's POV

12:45AM

I stumbled off of my chair after what I heard my boyfriend tell me.

"I slept with another woman." Replayed in my head.

"It didn't mean anything, Carrie. It was a stupid mistake." Tony added.

"I...Go. I'm done. I can't keep doing this, Tony." I cried.

This wasn't the first time Tony has cheated.

Once Tony left, I sat back down at the bar and cried.

"Looks like you could use a few drinks." The bartender stated.

I nodded my head, "whatever it is you decide to make, it needs to be strong."

It was now 2:16 in the morning and the bar was dead. I was the last person sitting there and the bartender had asked if I needed a cab. I said no. I decided to call someone I knew instead.

Mike: Care? Are you okay?

Carrie: I need you to pick me up. I'll text you the address.

I told Mike as I slurred.

Mike: Are you, are you drunk?

Carrie: Just a little. Hurry though, the bar is closing now.

Within 15 minutes, Mike pulled up to the side of the curb and I joined Mike in the truck.

"How much did you drink?" Mike wondered as he rolled the two front windows down a bit.

"Please don't scold me right now. I've had a horrible night. I just want to go home." I mumbled as I laid my head back against the seat.

"Okay, I'm sorry. Do you wanna talk about it?" Mike asked as he drove off.

"Tony cheated on me.... again. I told him that I can't do it anymore. He's pathetic and I'm stupid because I always go back." I answered drunkenly.
