Whilst investigating the death of a local navigator, a cocky police officer called Flipboi Cocks uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, big banana circulating throughout bush gardens. As soon as anyone uses the banana, he or she has exactly 1 day left to live.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look pickled. A marked person feels like a sloppy rat to touch.
Flipboi gets hold of the banana, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a hairy maggot balancing on a deep navigator, an old newspaper headline about a crocodile taming accident, a hooded elephant ranting about toes and a drinking well located in a pickle smelling place.
When Flipboi notices his eyelashes have rat-like properties, he realises that the curse of the big banana is true and calls in his mom, a swordsman called Tiffany Chase, to help.
Tiffany examines the banana and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the hairy maggot balancing on a deep navigator particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.
Flipboi and Tiffany pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded elephant. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
