Brooklyn's POV
Looking up at where my fathers streak rested, 21-1 the board read, everyone here at Madison Square Garden was shocked; that Brock Lesnar ended the streak. Out of all people, out of all wrestlers; why Brock & why not Shawn Micheals? I ask myself as I look at my father, who sat in the corner of the ring, with a shocked expression on his face; Brock & Heyman have already left."The streak is over."
Corey Graves commentates, I could hear a few people tell him to shut the hell up, my father a legend ever since the early nineties.
You think The Heart Break Kid, was Mr. WrestleMania; no my father is Mr. WrestleMania.
Looking back up to see my father, leaning against the blue ropes; "thank you Taker, thank you Taker" the crowd chants as he slowly leaves the ring. Sighing I looked around to see people still chanting, "I'm gonna go to back;" I whisper to one of the security guards.
He definitely didn't wanna be here, I thought as I raced towards the back, as I reached backstage of MSQ I could hear Vince McMahon. "Why did he end the streak" my father questions angrily, "I wanted a great match; so The Beast Vs The Deadman was perfect!"
It could of been so much better, I thought as I slowly place my hand on my fathers arm, "how'd you get back here" I hear Mr. McMahon question. "I told the backstage people who I was," I reply "well it's not bring your child to work day."
Yeah it's also not screw my father day, I thought as I pulled my father away from Mr. McMahon & Paul Heyman; "forget this match ever happened."
I advise "it's my streak though, I've been in so many WrestleMania's & I never lost; till now" he complains while pulling his hair back into a pony. "You didn't loose in my opinion, Brock kept you down, by putting his weight on the ropes."
Mark shrugs his shoulders, before looking down at his hat that he wore into every match, "maybe it's time I hang up my boots?" He questions while undoing the globes, he wore into the ring, "dad you don't have to retire; just because the streak is over."
He smiles, "but maybe I do, maybe the streak ending is a sign" here he goes with that again, I thought as I followed him to the back.
"I'm gonna go change, you wait here" he addresses before pushing the locker room door open, running a hand through my hair in frustration. Just as I went to walk away, I bumped into a firm chest, "I am so sorry" I apologize, before looking down at my boots. "It's alright I wasn't looking," the man apologized before leaving my side, turning to face his back.
