Lily Evans looked sadly at the picture of her and her late husband, James and sighed. It had been almost a year since he had passed, but Lily still hadn't recovered. Even her frenimy, Severus Snape, felt sorry for her. Her best friend, Samantha Ericson, Samantha's brother, Steven and even Steven's wife and two year old daughter had been trying to help her out between everything else they had to do. Lily had gone so far to wear black and even dye her hair black to mourn over her husband. And don't get started on Harry. The prophecy had said the one born as the seventh month dies so Dumbledore had assumed that it meant her son. But on that fateful night Voldemort had killed off her husband and her son, as she watched from under James' invisibility cloak. Voldemort had tossed it to the side, where she had been hiding, waiting to jump out, but he was to quick for her to take it off.

It was nearing the end of October, and one day at dinner Samantha and Sirius stood up for an announcement.
"We're getting married!" Exclaimed Sirius.
Once the applause died down Samantha said:
"And, we're having a baby!"
This was the audience.
GASP!
Applause.
Samantha sat down again, and was immediately bombed by questions.
"Is it a girl?"
"Does it have a name?"
"What the hell have you and Sirius been doing?"
"Please say it's a boy, please say it's a boy!"
"JUST SHUT THE HELL UP, OK?" screamed Lily, and stormed out of the room.
"I told you we shouldn't have announced it in front of her," muttered Samantha.
"I see why now." Said Sirius.
Samantha bit her lip.
"Should I go and, you know, check if she's ok?"
"I'll wait outside, you know not she lashes out"
Samantha hurried up the stairs in the Black House to the spare room, because that was where Lily was when she wasn't eating. She knocked.
"Lils?" She asked quietly. "Lily?"
"Co-come in" Lily's voice shook as she spoke from the other side of the door.
"Look, it was Sirius' idea to announce it, not-"
"Sorry" cut in Lily.
"For what?"
"For getting angry. Congratulations." Lily forced a smile, but it looked more like she was about to burst into tears.

9 months later, on the night of July 29th, Samantha's water broke. She was sent to St Mundgo's and the next day, a beautiful baby girl with fiery red hair was born.
"We decided to call her Phoenix, because of her hair," said Samantha to Lily. At that moment, Phoenix's hair changed to a midnight black.
"She's a metamorphagus!" Exclaimed Lily.
Phoenix's hair then changed to a vibrant blue, before settling on a black and white that looked like the night sky.
"You'll always be my star," said Samantha to Phoenix.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it," said Lily. She had gone back to her normal self as she had now recovered. She would occasionally look like she had lost part of the jigsaw that made her soul, though.
"Oh, hello." Said Lily, glaring at the visitor.
When they came back through into the lounge (or one of them) Lily sat in the armchair facing the TV so that she didn't have to look at the visitor.
"Dumbledore." Said Samantha politely.
"Black." Said Dumbledore even more politely. Lily stayed silent, and decided to put on the Muggle show, Blue Peter.
"Here's one I made earlier!" said the presenter.
BANG BANG BANG.
"WHO'S TALKING? WHY DON'T THEY JUST MAKE IT NOW?" screamed Sirius. The portrait of Mrs Black was long gone, so thankfully no screams of Mudblood, filth! came back out of the hall.
"It's Blue Peter, you idiot." laughed Lily.
"What? I don't want Peter to go blue!"
"I'll put on Doctor Who then."
"Are you trying to do a knock knock joke here?"
"I'll do a knock knock on your face if you don't go and find a book about Muggle TV shows."
BANG BANG BANG.
BANG BANG BANG.
"Shut up now, the Doctor's going to regenerate."

"I'm afraid, Sybill Tralawney has made another prophecy." Said Dumbledore. "If my calculations are right, when I put this in your daughter's hand-" Dumbledore held up a glass ball "It should play." He carefully placed the ball in Phoenix's tiny hands.
"The one in a long line of stars,
But is not named one,
Is the star we need,
And have needed for very long,
Eyes like a storm,
Hair like fire,
And will grow up to be tougher than and empire,
Thee of which I speak,
Is the one that will save us all,"
The voice stopped, and Dumbledore took the ball out of Phoenix's hands.
"She is the one the prophecy is talking about." Said Dumbledore.
"Last time you said that, my family died." Snapped Lily.
"Ah yes, but a little known fact is that a prophecy will only play to the one it is talking about." Said Dumbledore.
"Ok." Said Lily. "But don't be thinking I completely trust you now, because I don't. Not after that night."
"Argh!" Screeched the TV.
"There we go, bye bye number 7, hello number 8," said Lily.
"Ooh, I like Doctor Who!" Said Dumbledore.
"Yeah, well you're not watching it." Snapped Lily. "My TV, not yours."
"OHHH!" said Sirius, as realization hit him. "Now I understand the Knock Knock joke!"
"You asked for it," muttered Lily, before chasing Sirius out of the room.
