Amy Farrington:
“Baby, do you have time to talk or, never mind. I see you’re busy.”
Busy was an understatement. Niall was basically running all over the kitchen with the cooking. He’s been fairly busy at the pub lately. Today was no exception.
“Amy, hi. Uh, its okay, I can take a break if you’d like to talk.”
“No no it’s fine, I’ll just wait until you’re off work.”
“Alright,” he responded a bit unsure of himself.
I smiled at him and walked away. Once I was alone, I took a deep breath. This keeps happening. He’s gone all day and most of the night. I don’t mind; I mean, I do, but there isn’t anything I can do about it. I’m the exact same way while I’m working. He never seems to mind. And besides, it’s not like he’s miles away, if I truly needed him, he’s just next door.
Really, I don’t need to talk to him urgently. I just wanted to talk about wedding details and such things. I mean, I basically have my dream wedding planned out for years now, but that doesn’t mean that’s the wedding I’m going to have.
I had no doubt in my mind that I would when I was planning on marrying Connor. I know Connor so well that I know for a fact he would be completely on board with all of the wedding details I had planned out.
With Niall, I’m not so sure. I don’t want him to agree just to agree; honestly, I want him to plan the wedding with me. I want him to agree with everything I have planned, because he truly wants it that way. And I know a lot of people say that guys don’t give a shit about the wedding details, but I honestly don’t care about that. I’ve never been one to care for what people say about certain topics.
For now, I can just worry about work and deal with that later.

“Amy, wake up,” I heard Niall say quietly.
I felt my arm being shook, and then suddenly, I felt weight being added on top of me. I honestly don’t even remember lying down, let alone falling asleep.
I slowly opened my eyes to see a gleaming Niall hovering just above me. I smiled at him before shutting my eyes closed again.
“Oh no you don’t! Amy, wake up!” Niall said once more as I opened one eye.
He then kissed me softly before letting his weight fall on top of me.
“Niall, get off of me. You’re heavy,” I finally spoke as I ran my fingers through his hair, something I’ve grown accustom of doing any chance I get.
“No!”
I groaned, “Then why the fuck did you wake me up?”
“Because you wanted to talk to me, and I am free now,” he explained.
“Okay, well since I’m up, I guess I can do that, but you really do need to get off of me.”
“Too bad; I don’t feel like it,” he said as he lifted his head just long enough so that I could see the growing smirk on his face.
I smiled at the sight of it. “Niall,” I yelled his name playfully.
“Fine, I’ll get off.”
“Finally! So what time is it anyway?”
“Uh its ten to six,” he said looking at his phone.
“So it’s 5:50?”
“Yeah,” he responded.
“Then just say its 5:50, you weirdo.”
“Right, so are you hungry?”
“Yeah, a bit.”
“Alright, well let’s go get food from the kitchen or something.” He said and I nodded as he grabbed hold of my hand and started walking.
I have no idea where the fuck he is even going. I mean, we already walked past the kitchen in the house. When we did that I thought maybe we were going to just go to the pub itself and have dinner there, but again we just walked past it. We walked outside and I was seriously confused. There weren’t many places to go and eat; and a lot of the times we stuck to eating at home because Niall or one of the workers could make anything we could buy elsewhere.
I turned to look at him and question where we were going. The look on his face told me that he was up to something, but I wasn’t sure what it was. The second I was about to open my mouth and ask him, he came to a sudden stop; and before I knew it, I was pressed against the wall with his lips on mine.
We pulled away after a couple of minutes, both completely out of breath. I don’t know what the fuck that was all about, but I honestly don’t even care either. He could do that any time, any day, any place and I wouldn’t even care. I’d enjoy it.
After a few moments of silence that it took to recompose ourselves, I spoke, “so where are we going? I thought we were having dinner.”
He nodded with a wide grin on his face, “we are.”
He excitedly led me down the pathway that led to the beach; and I was rendered speechless when I saw what he did. He had set up the cutest little picnic at the beach type thing.
There was a blanket set up in the middle of a poorly shaped heart made entirely of candles. It was beautiful to say the least. I loved it, but I didn’t understand why he was doing it.
“What is this?”
“It’s your birthday dinner, baby.”
“Niall, I told you not to worry about it.”
“Yeah, and I didn’t listen.”
I smiled, “well, thank you.”
“Anytime babe. So what did you want to tell me?”
“Well honestly, I just wanted to talk to you about setting a wedding date. I kind of just want an idea about how long we have to plan it. I mean, it doesn’t have to be anytime soon, if you don’t want it to be, but I would like for us to have a date set and maybe a location or something. That was it really,” I said really quickly. I’m not sure why I did, but I did.
“Honestly, the day doesn’t matter to me, I could marry you tomorrow or in two years, but as long as I know I will have you there with me up until that day, then I don’t care. Any day. As for location, I had always wanted to get married in Mullingar, but I’m not so sure anymore. It’s been a while since I’ve gone back there.”
“Okay, well we can talk about it later. I really just want to eat and enjoy this moment.”
“Me too,” he agreed.
