SAND AND STONE

Dave and Sam were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument and Dave slapped Sam in the face. Sam was hurt, but he said nothing and wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIENS SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE"

They kept on walking and finally found an oasis. They decided to take a bath. Suddenly, Sam slipped on moss, hit his head and started drowning, but Dave saved him. After Sam gained his consciousness, he carved on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE"

Dave asked Sam, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you carved it on a stone, why?"

Sam replied, "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness would blow it away and when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it"
