Parker's POV
One by one, missing family members were pulled through a portal to the living room, and without a word to anyone they were with at the time. I was surprised that Mom even pulled Briana through, and she still decided to sit next to him and Dad. If looks could kill, Mom would be dead ten times over by the intense glare Kalvin is giving him.
"So why were we all pulled here? Because I was spending time with my mate!" Mom disregards him, "We were-" Dad coughs roughly to cut him off, and we all look in his direction. "Okay... I was hoping to avoid this conversation entirely, but you all need to know of it..." Everyone looks at each other slightly confused, "You're father and I are second mates..."
No one says anything for the longest time. I'm guessing this is what they were talking about months ago. I notice that Kalvin is trying to hold back a growl, and everyone else is varying in emotions. I really don't know how to feel about this myself though. Dad sits up right to speak, "I had talked with your mother before about telling you when you would understand everything. However, your mother insisted on avoiding the subject entirely."
Kalvin gets up from his seat, and heads for the backdoor. Dad gets up, and follows him out the door as well. "If anyone else wants to go... Just go..." Mom looks at the floor disappointed, but not at us or Kalvin. He seems more disappointed in himself than anything. We all look at each other, and no one makes a move to leave the room like Kalvin did.
Mom looks up with wide eyes, and makes eye contact with every one of us except Briana. He sighs, "James, Christopher, Reagan, Fredrick, Laura, and Parker. Your biological father was the previous beta, Jeremy Lewis. We met when I had claimed neutral territory, and he came to investigate with others from the pack." He smiled at the memory, "He smelled of evergreen and mint. I was so conflicted with my feelings because I found my mate, but that also meant I would have to leave my family."
"My family has been on the run ever since Alice and I were born. They've been the only people I've really known, and I didn't want to lose them; however, I also wanted to stop running." Fredrick clears his throat, "What were you running from and why?" Mom sighs quietly, "Weres because of me being a rare white tiger that could get pregnant. Wizards because of my magic being extremely powerful."
An hour later
"I hope this doesn't change much in how you see me or your father. I didn't want to see the family tear apart because of this." Mom gives us a sad smile. Reagan walks over to Mom, and gives him a tight hug. We all get up as well to join the two, and I notice Mom is fidgeting quite a bit. It's most likely his hormones being all over the place really, but I just have this feeling.
"Mom, I don't think any of us could think differently of you, but I for one wish you told us sooner." Laura speaks for us, and we all nod in agreement. "I could've hidden this from you all for a lot longer really," Mom chuckles with tears slowly falling down his face. We all look at him with unamusement, and smirks at us in return.
Everyone goes ahead, and goes through portals to return to their activities, or at least try to. Mom is laying down on the couch, his head in Briana's lap. I'm in the kitchen trying to cook some food, but I only know how to cook a few things. I hear Mom and Briana talking about Kalvin.
Briana's POV
"Mom, do you think Kalvin is going to want to talk?" I look down at him, and play with his ears. "If he doesn't I understand, but it'll hurt to much if I have to force him to talk." I give him a small smile, and get up heading to the backyard. I notice some rustling further off, and see a gray wolf with black stripes and a brown wolf with dark brown.
I smile towards Dad, and allow him to head inside the house. I turn towards Kalvin to give him a look that tells him to talk to Mom, but he just gives me a soft growl and walks inside. I sigh and head inside as well. I see Dad nuzzling Mom's baby bump, and Mom keeps swatting at him everytime he tries to lick his face.
"Okay, babe. Go and shower cause you of course smell like mud right now." Dad growls at Mom slightly, but heads upstairs anyways. Mom sighs, "Thank the goddess. I felt like I was about throw up with that smell." We both chuckle, and I head to the kitchen.
Parker's POV
"So, Parker..." I turned around to face Briana, "Yeah?" She leans against the counter, "Talk to Kalvin." I give her a confused look, and she continues, "You were always close with him, and I think you could be able to talk some sense into him."
"What do you mean close to him? James is the closest. Why not ask him?" She gives me a slight smirk, "James is his twin, and it is more degrading when someone younger than him tells him." We both grin evilly, and I walk into the living room.
I hear a portal open and close, and see that Briana left. It then hits me. She literally got me to do her own dirty work. "That bitch-Ow!" I look over to see Mom glaring at me with his hand held up. I mutter an apology, and sulk in silence with him.
