Blue eyes gently rubs his eyes with his tiny white knuckles. Suddenly, his eyes flutter open, darting to his parents. He sneaks a glance at his mother on his right, and his father on his left. A smile curls on his lips.
Yeehoo! I'm gonna wakey wakey mommy and daddy. I need to make my wakey musterplan. Mommy said i must think for three seconds before i do anything. I'm thinking one. three. yay i'm done!
Quietly, he finds a hairband and with his nimble fingers eases it onto his father's hair.
Daddy's not preetty. What do girls wear to make them preety?
Just then, an idea pops into his mind and he hastens quickly to his mother's dressing shelf. In a matter of minutes, he has finished decorating his father.
A clever lad, he smiles at his masterpiece, involuntarily letting out a giggle.
Mommy's turn!
Swiftly exiting the room, he turns to survey the hall and notices that his grandparents are not awake yet. Yeehoo!
He takes a chocolate he left overnight in the cupboard, which is already half melted and dashes back into his parent's room.
His parents were still sound asleep. He finally finished completing his musterplan. Innocently, he then pretended to sleep, hugging his mother. Faking a yawn, he said in a tender voice, "Mommy, i'm hungry."
His mother was roused from her sleep. She lifted an eye open and said "hmm.." as she stretched her arms wide. As she stretched herself, her gaze fell upon her husband. Laughter bubbled up within her; within minutes she was laughing clutching her stomach.
Oh, her dear husband had a powdered face with lipstick inaccurately drawn on his lips. Moreover, a ribbon had been tied to his hair, making him look absolutely "preety".
"What happened?" her husband asked lazily, shaking off his sleep. She pointed at him while clutching her stomach and laughing.
He widened his eyes; There his wife lay before him, with a mustache drawn on her face and a humongous mole on her right cheek; with arched brown eyebrows. He laughed at her plight.
A minute later they both glanced into the mirror and realized how totally ridiculous they both looked.
"BLUE EYES!" they yelled simultaneously. There blue eyes was, already dashing away from his parent's room, eyes twinkling with mischief. Oh no!
Finally they caught him, nuzzled him together and tickled him. His sweet laughter filled the house; the joy of having a child seemed to well up in his parent's eyes as well as they smothered him with kisses.

Chapter 2
"Everybody, it's playtime, go on to the playground!" announced the teacher, Mr. Samuel, heaving a sigh of relief; oh teaching young 4 year-olds was sometimes a joy, although most of the time his lessons would be interrupted with "Why are you tall?" or "What's that thing creeping on the floor?" If it wasn't one of these questions, they'd either scream at the smallest insect that appeared in the smallest corners of the classroom, suddenly declare they were hungry, or they needed to go potty. Sometimes, it felt as though he wasn't the teacher at all, rather that he was being led by these mischievous boys into some kind of trouble or plot.
Yet, he couldn't help but be charmed by these boys' bright eyes, eager to learn, curious about the world; their warmth and love towards him, calling him lovingly; they were the very purpose of his life - to see them laugh and play without any care in the world just simply made his day.
In the playground, the children were running around, playing a game of tag, except two of the children - botty and blue eyes. They seemed to be in deep conversation; something surprising for children at the tender age of 4.
Botty: blue eyes, i'm sad.
Blue eyes exclaimed, "You can't be sad. I'll make you happy. Sing La La La La La La. Then you'll be happy. Very happy." his voice filled with enthusiasm, his body moving from one side to another on the steps.
Botty didn't move.
"You've got daddy. I don't. Mommy said Daddy went visit heaven. He never comes visit me. So sad," murmured Botty, his eyes downcast.
Blue eyes was honestly saddened by this revealation; He knew how important his Dad was to him. They went everywhere - fishing, to the zoo - everywhere. It wouldn't be fun without Dad. Dad carried Blue eyes on his shoulders and brought him on "rollercoster" ride. It was so much fun.
"I know. I be your Daddy," offered Blue eyes, his eyes twinkling with joy at the idea.
"you be my daddy? Really?" questioned Botty, his eyes widening.
"Yup yup yup. I be strong and fun daddy." replied Blue eyes, lifting his tender arm, trying to flex his muscles of which he had none.
Just then, the bell rang, signaling the end of school. The students went back to the class, fetched their bags and waited in the canteen for their parents.
Botty's mother arrived and waved to him; Before Botty could run to his mother, Blue eyes called him and ran towards him.
"Botty the big boy. Bye." said Blue eyes trying to imitate his father. It was indeed a funny sight to watch blue eyes patting Botty's head for Blue eyes was shorter than Botty and had to tip-toe to reach Botty's head. He then pecked Botty's cheek and bid him good bye. Botty, with a smile plastered on his face yelled back "Bye, Daddy!" to Blue eyes.
Though all in the canteen had heard that, none seemed to question it for they shrugged it off labelling it "child's play".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later that day, Blue eyes' father had returned home from work. He sweeped both wife and son into a hug and pecked each of them on their cheeks.
"Daddy, you squashing me!" protested blue eyes.
"Oh, really? then you'll have to give me a kiss if you want to get down." replied the father.
Enthusiastically, blue eyes pecked his father's cheek and his father let him down.
"Daddy I got lots to tell you."
"Hmm...tell me after i drink my tea okay?"
"okie"
Once his father was happily sipping away his tea, seated comfortably in his chair, Blue eyes started talking.
"Daddy, what do daddies do?"
Unflustered by his son's random questions, owing to experience, his father calmly replied, "Well, they go to work."
"But daddy, what do daddies do with their children?"
"hmm...they play with their children games, save money for them to go to school, bring them out to different places, buy them good food, teach them how to behave and most importantly love them."
"daddy, i become a daddy today. Can you gimme money? I want money for my son."
His father nearly spit out his tea.
"You became a - what! - a father?"
Then he gained hold of himself and asked "Who is your son?"
"It's Botty. I be his daddy."
"But what about his real daddy?"
"Secret. I cannot tell you, daddy. So, can you gimme some money?"
