This Is Forever

Chapter 3

Meredith PoV
I woke up with a jolt and turned to face Derek. He was still sound asleep, but I was wide awake. I stroked his cheek lightly until I started to feel nauseous.
"Oh no," I said in a light voice as I got up and went to the bathroom connected to the bedroom.
I sat down next to the toilet for a few minutes and then the vomit finally started coming.
I felt a strong hand rubbing circles on my back and my hair being held.
"Derek?" I said between vomit.
"Shhhh. It's okay," he said to me.
I finished throwing up and leaned back into Derek. He rubbed my forehead as I started to cry.
"Shhh, its all gonna be worth it in the end," Derek said into my ear.
"I know," I said as I turned to face him.
He handed me some mouthwash and I gargled it, then I gave him a kiss. He deepened it and kissed me harder.
"Derek," I moaned through the kiss.
"What is it Mer?" he asked as his mouth covered mine.
I pulled back. "We gotta get to work," I said as I glanced at the clock.
"Damnit," he sighed.
We got up and got dressed, then headed to the hospital.
Derek PoV
We walked into the hospital and into the elevator.
"Okay so, I have a craniotomy at 3:30, but before that, I have nothing. What about you?" I asked Mer.
"I have the intern appy at ten, but nothing before that other than Hunt's speech." Mer replied
We got off of the elevator and stopped in front of the residents lounge before I continued to the attending lounge.
"I love you Derek," Meredith said to me.
"I love you more Meredith," I replied as I placed a quick kiss on her lips.
I walked into the residents lounge after hugging Mer one last time.
"Good morning papa!" Bailey yelled.
Everyone in the room clapped and congratulated me.
"Thanks everyone," I chuckled.
"Hey guys, it's time, oh and, congrats Derek," Hunt said as he opened the door to the lounge.
We all walked to the stairs where Hunt announced everything.
Meredith PoV
"Starting today, there will be another surgeon roaming the halls. She will help us with our finances. She is here strictly to observe, and she won't be performing any surgeries. Have a good day everyone," Hunt said.
Suddenly in the mood for some fun, I stood up and faced Derek.
"Hey, can I get a minute? It's urgent," I said to him.
The lion in his face was a mixture of concern and confusion as he replied.
"Sure," he said.
I grabbed him by the arm and pulled him into an on call room. I shut and locked the door and my lips immediately attacked his.
He was obviously taken aback by my sudden and full of hunger kiss, but he wasn't complaining. He took off my lab coat and we walked over to the cot and sat down.
"This was urgent?" he said through kisses.
I started to peel his lab coat from his body. "Yes, it's these stupid pregnancy hormones that makes me wanna have sex all the time, urgently," I said through kisses.
"Oh, well I like the stupid hormones," Derek replied as he began to lift my scrub top off of my body.
I ripped his top off and he laid carefully on top of me.
"This okay?" he asked as he repositioned.
"Perfect," I said as I kissed him with a kiss full of hunger.
30 minutes later
"That was," Derek started as he pulled his scrub pants back on.
"Amazing," I finished as I put my scrub top on. "Thank you."
"Mer, you NEVER have to ask me to have sex," Derek said as he looked at me dead in the eye.
Derek PoV
"I know," Meredith said as she wrapped her arms around my bare chest.
I attached my lips to hers again with a deep, loving kiss.
"Round 2?" I asked her as I grabbed the bottom of her scrub top and began to lift it over her head.
"Hell yeah, but after, we get some sleep," she replied.
"Say no more," I said as I lifted her up and carried her over to the cot once again.
She attached her lips to mine as soon as I laid her down on the cot.
"I love you Derek," she said through the kiss.
"I love you more," I replied as I threw the sheet over us.
30 minutes later
I quickly got up and unlocked the door to the in call room to not make things suspicious. I ran back over to the cot where Meredith was laying.
We were both still naked, but we didn't really care. My scrub top was on the floor by the door, my lab coat was in the middle of the room, and my pants were near the foot of the cot. Merediths scrub top was on top of my lab coat, her lab coat was near my pants, and her pants were near my shirt.
We slept for about 30 minutes, but Meredith has to go and do the intern appy.
"I'll be in the gallery Mer, I love you," I said to her as she pressed a quick kiss to my lips.
"I love you too Derek," she replied as she walked out.
God damn, I lived her so much.
Meredith PoV
I met Ross in the scrub room.
"You ready, Doctor Ross?" I asked him while I scrubbed.
"Born ready," He replied confidently.
"Well, in that case, let's get started," I said as we walked into the OR and got into our surgical gowns and gloves.
I walked over to the patient and stood on his left while Ross stood in his right, facing away from the gallery.
"Let's get started, Scalpel," Ross said.
Bohkee handed him the scalpel and he started to cut.
I looked up into the gallery to see Derek sitting there front and center with his thick brown curls in a mess and a wide smile on his face. I chuckled at the sight and continued to watch Ross do his thing.
Derek PoV
Meredith looked so beautiful in her surgical gown. When she looked up at me, I couldn't help but smile. I love her so much.
The rest of the day went on and Derek had a successful craniotomy. At 6 pm, Meredith and Derek went home for the night.
