Chapter Seven

Jayme's POV
"Okay, let's do this" I mumble to myself before i move through the ship. Avoiding the guards at every turn. I almost got caught when my foot slipped but i saw a flash of green and that got the guards attention. I pushed myself against the wall hoping they wouldn't notice, thankfully they didn't. I waited until they turned the corner and bolted in the opposite direction. I pulled up a map then made a quick adjustment to my path. I pushed myself against another wall waiting. I looked across the hall and saw Lance. I looked at him in shock 'What the hell?' He put a finger over his mouth and i nodded. He stood in the middle of the hall, getting the guards attention and ran opposite of them. They followed an that made an opening for me. I ran the direction the guards came from and found a door. I quickly looked at my map "Found it" i whispered and looked at the little panel on the side. "Pidge i need a code to get in, lance ran off with the officers" I informed her and she chuckled, lance groaned "A thank you would be nice Jayme" i laughed a little and waited for Pidge "Okay the code is 884652" i quickly typed in the code and watched the door open. "Awesome thanks, i'm in" i looked around, it was empty. Too easy. I ran over to the control panel and started hacking "Okay what am i looking for Shiro?" I asked "Pidge will be there in a minute, she knows what to look for" i waited keeping an eye on the camera's as well. Pidge came running in and stood next to me, typing just as fast. "Battle plans, and any information involving Voltron okay" i nodded and started scanning files. I heard shouting and i turned to the door, seeing more guards i ran over and manually shut the door then put one of my daggers through the code panel. "Pidge we have 3 minutes at the most" i told her and she typed faster. "Jayme, what's going on?" It was Keith i heard "Galra outside control room, Pidge and I are trapped in here" there was a large bang outside the door "Pidge we have to go now!" I shouted, my ears ringing. She nodded put a flash drive in her pocket and activated her bayard. "Scratch that we'll be out in a few minutes" i said, pulled my knife out and watched Pidge slip through the door. I followed  her out. We ran head on into the enemy, Lance was firing at them from a distance leaving Pidge and I to fight up close. I took out 4 and cleared a path for her. "Go Pidge!" She looked at me and ran. Before i could make it through they closed the gap. "JAYME!" She yelled, i saw Lance grab her and run. I looked at the Galra that surrounded me, one of them looked familiar. I looked at him, he gave me a small nod before turning and attacking the others. I joined in and soon enough none were left. I had my back to the one who i knew and trusted. "Keith?" I asked "Yeah" i smiled and turned around "Thank you" he turned and faced me as well "Here, let me put these on you so they won't question us, i can get us back to red without any trouble" i turned around again and felt the cold metal cuffs through my suit. I walked with my head down, Keith had taken my helmet but i could still hear the others yelling for me to answer. Then i hear "Why isn't Keith answering?" I couldn't let them catch on so i started yelling "Let me go!" And i started putting up a fight "Shut up" Keith said his voice much deeper then before, i kicked his leg and he growled before slamming me into a wall. I cried out knowing they could hear me. Keith looked at me, his eyes told me he was sorry. I watched him turn off my helmets mic before hugging me. "Come on, let's get back to red" once we were closer to where we came in he undid the cuffs and had me turn around so I couldn't see him. Once i turned back around he was normal again, he put my helmet on then picked me up "Pretend to be knocked out okay" he said before turning on his mic and getting us back into Red. "I got her!" He said and they others cheered. "Oh thank god" i heard Pidge say "She's not hurt right?" Shiro asked "No, they knocked her out though" he told them the lie before sitting down with me in his lap. I smiled and leaned against him. "Okay, well we got the info and no one was taken so mission was a success" Shiro announced. Keith held me close and turned off his mic again, knowing mine was off as well. "What did i say about being careful" he asked "Pidge had the info, and i was the distraction to let her get away" he shook his head "That was risky, you're lucky i was there" i smiled up at him "You were the one under cover, if you got caught the team would know and the Galra. Who was being more risky?" He was quiet for a moment "both of us" he said then chuckled and kissed the top of my head. "You're lucky i love you Jayme" he commented. I sighed and snuggled closer. "I love you too Keith" He set a hand on my waist, keeping me steady as we go through an asteroid field. The lion shook when Lance launched a smaller asteroid at us and Keith wrapped his arm around me as i jolted forward. "Lance cool it!" Keith snapped "What mullet head, can't handle a little shaking?" Lance teased "I can handle it but you almost sent Jayme flying!" Keith seemed upset so I pretended to sound tired "I-I'm fine Keith....give me a kiss" i said sleepily i heard Shiro laugh and Keith blushed. "Hang on love" he said and added "Lets get through this asteroid field first okay" i nodded and giggled as he turned off his helmet again. Once we were through the field he put the lion on auto pilot, pushed his seat back and turned me around so i was facing him. "So i get a kiss now right" i asked as i wrapped my legs around him to keep me from falling over. He nodded. I smiled as he slipped his arms around my waist and pulled me close, kissing me gently and holding me tightly and as if i would disappear if he ever let me go.
