Arthit had never liked commuting to work. Why would he? Everything that got in the way of sleeping a few more minutes was immediately on his personal blacklist, and now that the company he worked at had changed facilities, things had become even worse. Whereas before it took fifteen minutes from leaving the house to checking in, now it took twenty minutes in the subway alone. And that was the reason for his grumpy mood at that moment, standing in the station with pink milk in hand, waiting for the subway when he could still be asleep.

Eventually, the offensive subway pulled up in front of him, opening the doors.

If he had to find a good thing about that new commuting time it was the fact that there was much more free space than he usually had.

And that's why he was able to see him.

Arthit had just stepped in when he saw a good looking young man sat on the middle seat of the row, looking at a big expensive camera on his hands. While most people there, including Arthit, had a tired expression, the tanned skin man appeared completely awake, with his brown eyes attentively studying whatever image was being shown.

Unfortunately for Arthit, he would quickly discover that sleepily checking someone out on a moving vehicle was a bad idea, because as soon as the subway encountered the first curve, he was projected from where he stood. Thankfully he fell on a seat and the pink milk was alright; not so thankfully, he had made enough of an apparatus for everyone to look at him, including the good looking stranger that looked worryingly at him from four seats away.

Wishing the ground could swallow him, Arthit resorted to averting his eyes from the guy and smile shyly at the other passengers as he got himself together and sat properly. Slowly but surely, everyone lost interest in him, returning to whatever they were doing.

That is, all except one.

Feeling eyes on him, Arthit instinctively glanced to the side, where the stranger kept looking at him with amusement in his eyes, and worst, a smirk on his lips.

Arthit immediately looked away, drinking his pink milk and pretending he wasn't dying from embarrassment inside. Let it to him to make a complete fool of himself in front of a cute guy.

He wasn't planning on looking again, he really wasn't, but when his peripheral vision caught on to some movement, he had to peek.

His heart backflipped on his chest when he noted that the guy had apparently jumped a seat, now having three free ones in between them. Looking back down at his beverage, Arthit's mind began racing.

He was further away just a second ago... wasn't he? His he getting closer? But he's not looking at me... Maybe I'm imagining things.

The sound of an extremely obnoxious ringtone snapped Arthit back to the real world and, as if his morning hadn't been bad enough, a middle age woman on the row of seats in front of him answered said call, exchanging the loud music for her squeaky flamboyant voice.

He had to close his eyes and take a deep breath.

Was that even worth it the paycheck anymore? Well, it was, but that didn't mean he wouldn't complain about it.

Five minutes went by and the woman had yet to shut up, letting everyone on that carriage know everything from the time of her doctor appointment, to her argument with the cashier at the supermarket and much more.
