What Goes Up Must Come Down

Prologue

Nobody thought it could happen. We all thought life would stay peaceful forever. At least moderately peaceful. Even if the Symbol of Peace couldn't personally protect us we thought nothing bad would happen. Nothing that would change our ways of living. Oh how wrong we were.

It all started at the end of our first year. My name is Airi Azami. I wanted to become a Hero to save people. To inspire them. To give them a sense of hope and safety. My parents died in a plane crash. I was left to my older brother Akio Azami. Life with him became the new norm. I inspired to be like him. He was a hero so he was able to support me enough to where I was comfortable.

I went to UA high school. It had already been a year since we first started. My class was excited to move on. We had spent a whole year going thought trail after trail walking in the shadow of the class before us. The first class All Might decided to teach. It was a tough standard.

It was the last day of our first year. Everyone seemed to be bursting with energy. Many were excited to just have some time off. As I look around the class room I see my best friends in the corner of my eye. Kiyo Amachi, she was taller than me but had the kindest heart anyone could ask for. Then there was Taura Shinhon. With her dark blue hair and silver eyes she really could show people who's boss. With a sudden question on my mind I decide to lean over and talk to my other friend, Artemis Mizuko. "What adventures do you think we'll have next year Mizuko?"

Her body jumps a bit. I don't think she was expecting me to talk to her in that moment. She quickly recovers with a smile and says, "Honestly I'm not sure." Mizuko started to mess with her long, silver hair. Whenever she did this you knew she was nervous about something.

Before she is able to continue speaking our dear friend, Manzo Shizuka, walks over to say hi. "Hello Ladies. How are you lovely flowers doing?" I roll my eyes as he tries to 'charm' us with his poetic skills. At least that's how he describes it.

"Waiting for you obviously." I tease as we all start to laugh. During our laughter we heard the bell ring. With quick movements we start to pack our bags up with our notebooks we had on our desk. I smile and look over at the others who are waiting for me. "Finally! Are you guys . . ."

"All students report to the gymnasium. This is not a drill. All students please report to the gymnasium." The loud speakers boom as we all get up with our bags. Several frightened cries erupt from my classmates. I start to worry about what is going to happen next.

Once we all made it to the gymnasium we wait around for our next instructions. That's when we hear another voice over the loud speaker. "Brats of UA High. Congratulations you have been infiltrated." All over the room gasps of shock can be heard. Most students know this to be the voice of Tomura Shigaraki. "If you do as we say no one gets hurt. The minute our orders are disobeyed we will have to result to force." There was a pause. "Oh I should probably mention that all staff has been taken into custody and is being transported to a secure location as we speak." The sound of his laughter floods our ears.

"Shizuka now!" I call out. With a determined face the boy next to me activates his quirk. While his is not an offensive quirk it really does help in situations like this. A mist is emitted from his skin that settles around us and a few others from our class. His mist acts not only as a shield but as an invisible cloak. I activate my quirk and light green feathers bloom out of my arms in case we need to fight our way out. "Come on guys." The ones that are under Shizuka's quirk quickly escape the gym while others find their own way out. Still there are others who stay and fight.

We rush out of the building and head to the front of the school. What we see when we arrive makes all of us stop. As we look out towards the city we see the devastation. Half of the city is on fire. We can only stare in shock to see that the villains have actually won this time. "A-a-azami? What's going to happen now?" Mizuko's voice cracked as her eyes widened in horror. I turn my head and look at the ones that escaped with us.

"We find a way to make things right. We find a way to be Hero's."
